I used these with a 2" hole saw. They clip in easily and are simple to remove.

I got these. I did 2.5" holes. Easier to access. I did take some pliers and sorta pushed in part of this so it isn't too hard to get out. As is, they will seal just fine, but sorta hard to remove. But they are perfect if you just push in catch. They match the surface of the mach e too.
They work perfect! I have taken them off and on several times for some updates. It was a recommendation from @Mach-Lee I don't drive a ton, and would never get an update...this makes it so easy.
I'd highly suggest a third hole/plug in between, over the HV disconnect, as well as over the 12v + and -
This unit seems to be 20 amp and I thought people were recommending something more robust for updates.
For FDRS updates, yes. But for charging the 12V battery so that it can successfully get OTA updates, this is fine.

I followed this template. I printed it out and it worked great. Just make sure you print it at 100%. I did not take the cover off, I was just very careful drilling and vacuuming as I went along.That looks great.
