2022 Mach E SR RWD, just plugged in scaner, looks like my useable battery is 67.7kwh now? (46.75/0.69), and overall capacity is 69.2kwh . I thought the 2022 Mach E has 70kwh usable battery and 77kwh overall capacity?

i thought you could only really test this accurately by actually charging to 100%?

but also 10% degradation doesn't sound absolutely outside the realm of possibility either, the curve is steep at the start

Do we have a definitive answer as to if ODB2 is an accurate representation of HVB SOH on the MME?

I thought your HVB would be max 72 kw, if I am right, 72*.95(SOH)=68.4 available. That is close to your 67.7 number
that is right, the max is 72kwh , i believe

I have been monitoring the SoH of my battery and it is at 93% now, 32k miles. It dropped kind of quickly to where it is now but it appears to have stabilized. At 16k, the SoH of my battery was 95.5%, basically the same as yours.

You need to do a full charge to 100% instead of extrapolating to see the true max battery capacity. But it should be around 95% of what it was new.

Here's what car scanner shows for the 2021 MME I recently picked up. Car has just under 40k miles on it.
Don't know how accurate this is, but it shows HVB SOH at 95.5%. Previous owner says they only DC fast charged one time. The rest of the time they used L1/L2 charging and kept it between 20-80% majority of the time with occasional charges to 100% for longer trips.

where can I learn about these scanners that give this level of information?
the software is an apphttps://apps.apple.com/us/app/car-scanner-elm-obd2/id1259933623

The hardware is an OBD 2 dongle. I use theOBDLink MX+ OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner for iPhone, Android, and Windows https://a.co/d/1dpKzTJ

quite a few of us use Car Scanner ELM OBD2 with an OBD2 bluetooth adapter. OBDLink makes a few: MX+, LX and CX. there are cheaper options available too so search the forum and/or youtube for "car scanner obd2" for information and recommendations.

Also keep in mind that the only way your car knows the kWh in the battery is basically by using an educated guess. There isn't a measurement of fuel like with an ICE. Basically the BMS tries its best to keep track of how much went into the battery and how much is used, and to estimate from that where the actual charge level is.

So unless you drive it to the bottom of the pack, like, below 0% stated state of charge, then charge to 100%, you can't even remotely get an accurate idea of actual battery degradation. This has been covered by several EV experts and why just plugging in an OBD reader isn't good enough. The BMS isn't going to be way, way off, but it can easily be off by a few %.
