According to the form they have on that URL, you're only signing up to get information about the case. Since I don't feel like being spammed, I'm gonna wait until there's legal movement. We all already belong to the "class" since we're MME owners. ?‍♂?

If you click the link and scroll down to the documents you can see the motion to dismiss from last year and the order on the motion to dismiss from last week. Some parts were dismissed and three are allowed to proceed. Not sure the implications of the parts allowed

The judge dismissed most, but allowed 3 counts (8,11,15) to proceed to litigation. Didn’t dig into the details of these three.

Looks like Facebook's algorithm has figured out I have a Mach E as "Class Action Lawsuit" ads have started to populate my feed. Ford Mustang Mach-E Shutdown Defect | Hagens Berman (hbsslaw.com). Seems a couple of law firms are looking to nurse at the teat of Ford Motor Company. Anyone here participating?
In the law notice it made reference to vehicles produced between May 2021 and May 2022. Question...... My 21 Job 1 was made in December 2020. (My car has also recieved Power Up 2.7.3 which deals with HVBJB failures). Please help - what is the significance of the May 2021 and May 2022 date range?

Is it wrong that I’m bothered by the lawyers’ description repeatedly referring to the “engine”?
they also can't decide if the issue is with "contractors" or "contactors". :rolleyes:

That’s when Larry was installing the HVBJBs. Larry has taken a leave of absence and all of us at the Ford Family hope he is getting the help he needs.

And it sounds like they want Ford to make us NOT drive our vehicles????? No thanks!!

This is just a poor attempt at a money grab. Ford admitted wrong, did a recall, and will replace parts under warranty if they break.

The funny part is that the recall is what makes your car SAFER because rather than just dying on the road, you can limp home or to the dealer safely.

Maybe they’ll have luck going after the “contractors” though. ?

The HVJB failures suck, but I’m not sure there’s a real lawsuit here.

An easier one would be to go after the hidden 5 second limit. For sure we were duped.

it looks like the counts (8, 11, 15) that may continue are implied warranty claims classes in california, georgia, and maine; all others were dismissed. IANAL but reading through the judge's 8/11/23 order it looks like quite a hill left to climb and probably not the huge payday the plaintiff lawyers were looking for.

TBF quite a lot of people, and it’s not technically incorrect to do so, do refer to the inverter/motor combination and various other configurations as engine.

I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think the case will have a legal leg to stand on, unless vehicles that have had the recall remedy applied continue to completely die (stop safely now, not service vehicle soon). Which some have. But not sure if any of those "failed recall" plaintiffs are represented in the lawsuit.

Im with you . They mention 2 different date ranges as far as manufacture date . Which is it ? Id also like to know what the delivery date has to do with it . My Mach was built in the first date range mentioned BUT I took delivery BEFORE the date mentioned later . Ford didn't change out any of the HVBJBs on those vehicles unless they had failed so why the distinction ?

Because they’re just doing lazy work and looking for a quick settlement. They hope that if they post a few ads on Facebook, set up a crappy website, and file a few motions……. If they get enough people on board Ford will pay them to go away.
