Have you tested it recently? It has been working well here lately it didn't for the longest time but for the last month or so it has worked really well and is used. Of course I am not trusting this AI to park itself as I am now intimately familiar with it and therefore that is a no go for trusting that. We have 15 miles of BC road beside my dealer in a 200 mile radius so we have you beat there.

It always been hit or miss for me. One issue could be my artificial knee. I don’t like using that leg alone to support me so I use it for the kick and it’s not quite right in that regards. Or it could just be flakey. In any event, I usually have a grocery cart when I need the trunk area so pushing the button is easier. ?‍

Yes it was included in the Premium package, but you paid for it.

On my GT (on the window sticker), it was a $1900 line item.

Now that hardware actually is free (even on the Select models), but the BC software is more expensive (but $2100
Total is still less than the $2500 I paid for the option in 2021).

Doesn’t matter which way you compare it, Bluecruise (and the accompanying 360 cameras etc) is a cheaper option today than it was in 2021.

Your other points about MSRP are legit though. The price did go up, but again, right in line with inflation and without the crazy ADMs we saw a year or two ago.

If you want a “deal” on the Mach E today, buy a Select, get the free 360 camera and don’t pay for Bluecruise.

Kick right at the left side of the plate (bit off). Make sure it does not see your head when closing and give it the time to chime. Open is first time every time now if it is awake. It is an art but is working a whole lot better lately and well enough to master it here. As you have noted others experiences may vary and is part of its charm

Been there, done that. It's not a big deal to me. Most of the time groceries go in the frunk anyway,

2. It's worse than useless, it's dangerous.

3. I find the likelihood of Kick to Open not working is directly related to how much I have in my hands and how hard it will be to set down to press the button.

3.5 It does like to open when I walk near the back of the car in the garage, when I'm not kicking under the car though.

Tesla’s Mobile Charger is WAY better than Ford’s, quality-wise. I am thinking about buying one since it has so many optional pigtails for differing mains sockets/amperages. I already have a destination adapter, so it would give me a chance to use it. ??

It does matter. It’s the basis of your complaint about Bluecruise in 2023- the price.

In 2021 it was $1900 for the hardware. Whether you added it to a GT (as I did) or paid extra for the Premium package. $1900 was the hardware price either way.

And for job 2 2021 cars like mine, they RAISED my MSRP by $600 and then included 3 years of Bluecruise.

While the $600 increase isn’t a line item on my window sticker, it was announced and explained by Ford. It also wasn’t “free.”

You may think this is semantics but it isn’t. It’s the exact price that Bluecruise cost in different years and models.

And while it was included in the premium package in 2021, what’s new for 2023 is the hardware is actually FREE for all models (including select).

Ford tried to make the 360 camera a 90 day trial for 2023 select models but quickly changed it to Free after some backlash.

Blue Cruise should cost no more than $120/year, after 3 years. It is a software push, does not cost more if push to 100 cars or 100,000 cars. You can't not honestly claim MME has BlueCruise, only to find out it is costing an arm and leg. It leaves a bitter taste for buyer. Ford is going back to its old habits, haggling over smallness. I want to pay for a complete car, clean and simple.

Kick to Open Tailgate - Again no mention of this feature. Too bad because I LOVE this feature. So handy when I get close to the car with full hands

My 2022 Premium, Sep build, didn't come with kick to open tailgate. Not an option I could turn on or off. Nothing. Well, at least not until 9 months after I bought the car when I used the instructions on this forum to hook up Forscan to my car and change three bytes - literally three bytes - in the entire configuration file for the car. Now it works fine. I don't know if I like it, don't like it, will really ever use it, whatever, but I find it extraordinary that the car came with all of the equipment to make it work, but Ford intentionally disabled the capability. If I don't want it, I have the option to disable it on the main screen - why would my car come from the factory with this option intentionally disabled (and hidden so it couldn't be enable)? Clearly not a chip shortage issue...

Inventory does appear to be building up. Early this year when I was shopping for one, no dealer had any on the lot and they were all telling me it would be 9-12 months to receive an ordered vehicle. Now when I look at the two dealers I checked out earlier this year (one small dealer 15 minutes from me and a large dealer 2 hours away), they both have inventory sitting on the lot. The small dealer has 7 MME on the lot, and the large dealer has 119 on the lot.
