Love how it's not riding on the right lane line when crusing in the far left lane! That's one of my biggest complaints with 1.0 is having to constantly manually pull the car to the left to stay in the middle of the far left lane.

Did look more stable (not weaving as much) and lane change looked smooth as well.

I can't tell what would indicate it's 1.3. My 1.2 does lane changes with the signal already. So well that I change lanes excessively lol

Hey there guys, so I found a video on YouTube that says they are testing BlueCruise 1.3, which I cannot confirm true or not.

That's Will, aka F the Pump. He was part of a group of Mach-E and Lightning owners that got a test drive with BlueCruise 1.3 in Detroit on September 13th. He owns a Lightning, Model 3, and Taycan (the Taycan replaced a Model S).

We recorded a full 15 minute drive on the same day but we've been traveling since then and haven't had time to do anything with the footage yet. Overall, the features are the same compared to 1.2 but it has even fewer disengagements or switching to hands on mode. It was hard to really test it during a short drive, but it felt really smooth.

I don't believe it's going to LOOK any different than 1.2.

The real question is when will the software update begin to rollout.

We know it’s being installed in production now so new deliveries will have it. So I wouldn’t consider this “testing” it, as tests have been complete as it’s being deployed to vehicles in production. I’d have called that a demonstration of it.

Id love to see testing footage of 1.4 or at least know what features are in development.

I just got 5.1.1 today, 40+ days after the first person to post about getting it (August 15). I'm not holding my breath for this one.

For 1.4 features, I think we can look to the latest iteration of SuperCruise for inspiration. Automated lane changes, expanded coverage, maybe a Navigate-on-Autopilot like mode?

Is BlueCruise still limited to 130k miles of mapped roads?

Likely because they rolled it out to EA first. I know I received a survey about the update being in EA so it’s likely a general release now at this point.
Maybe Santa will bring me BC 1.3 for Christmas! ?

If @Ford Motor Company wants us to pay for BC theyre going to have to step it up. If I was paying for this and this whole communication went out and I never heard a thing about it again I would cancel.
