Sorry, an old fart that does not want to take the time for a meme, but there may be a new Whine (I mean wine) available for the Holidays, BC 1.3, only problem is Ford does not know the vintage date and it has already left a sour taste in consumers mouths.

Its been publicly stated that the rollout is on hold while they investigate issues with 6.2.0.
I thought there were issues with 6.4. My car tried but failed on 6.4

And that issue would be?
When I got 6.2 OTA, I lost Ford Assistant. I had to do a master reset. Fortunately, the car is new and I didn't have many saved destinations for navigation, radio presets, etc. I don't know what issues others may have encountered.

The difficulty they expected in rolling out BC 1.3 was signaled by Ford more than 6-months ago when they pushed all the free-trial dates out to 12/31/2023.
(Regardless of what people on this forum or Ford press releases indicated that it would be here sooner)
... And Fords inability to hit that 6 month deadline is signaled by the stalled rollout in mid November?... o_O

but then they didn't need to be as specific about "a few weeks" and "a few more weeks"

But i agree, fool me twice shame on me. Wasn't fooled when they said that in september.

I'm just glad that Ford is making good on their promise to keep OTAs going out to prior years vehicles. They're doing it because of the revenue opportunity, but its nice to have the latest software when my car rolled off the line almost 3-yrs ago now.

Agree - I'm really glad they do it... but 3 years on they are really struggling. Especially on the '21 job ones.

This is where I am. After two years I don’t expect Ford to deliver things on time, I’ve had enough experiences to know better. And I understand the difficulties.

but they do deliver. My car did not ship with Blue Cruise and now it has it. I got the new UI. I got Apple Maps directions on the little screen. I got a better charging curve.

At least they’re delivering. That’s better than some of the stories I’ve heard of other auto manufacturers. And it’s better than a lot of connected products I’ve seen promising future updates coming that never appear before the product line dies.

I far prefer working new features after a delay over never delivering anything promised.

I’ll keep waiting.
