- 2022 Mach E SR RWD [TP2]
Personally, I'd wait for the Mach E. You're probably getting a 2024 Model Year, which should include the new LFP battery. That battery is significantly larger than what the Model Y Standard Range (I'm assuming you're talking about that trim based on the pricing) has - 60 vs 72 kWh. The MY Standard Range Sound System is also at best equal to the Mach E B&O, unlike the LR/P "premium" variants - concerning those, I agree with the previous posts.
The point about the charging network is essentially moot in Europe due to universal CCS charging and Tesla opening up many Supercharger locations to all brands, so Tesla vehicles have no edge there. The MY looks like a boring blob, and has its share of issues as well. I'm not in IT, but fairly tech-y, and some things about the MY drive me crazy. The rain sensors (probably more of a Germany than a Spain type of problem, but still), automated headlights and driver assist systems (EU software stack is different from US!) are terrible compared to the Mach E, not to mention the literally non-existent parking sensors and lack of a front camera. Seriously, parking with the Mach E is a breeze because you can actually see in front of the car, while the MY lacks a camera and also has a sharp drop in the front, so you can never tell where it actually ends.
The Mach E has quite a few annoying software quirks, and PAAK is, to me at least, pretty much unusable. The UI choices have been staggeringly odd. Lack of a global charge limit is just... why. But to me, the omission of Apple CarPlay on Teslas is a much larger deal breaker software-wise: My garage door opener, calendar, EV routing superior to both Tesla nav and Ford nav and messaging through different apps while driving using speech works flawlessly on the Mach E, but wouldn't be available on the MY at all.
