I have a RWD '23 Premium with the Pony Package.

1) In the last month, my pony ground lights have suddenly disappeared when I approach the car at night! What? I figure a software upgrade may have caused this, but who knows.

2) Sometimes when I start the car and begin to drive, my Ford navigation automatically activates without me providing any prompting. Usually, it is trying to send me home. Weird... Or maybe a ghost.

3) Both my wife and I use a PASS. It never fails that if both of us are in the car at the same time and I am in the driver's seat and turn on the car, the seat always returns to her setting requiring me to reset it.

4) The continued frustration of trying to open the rear tailgate from in the car still exists. Anyone heard whether they may move that button to the main screen anytime soon.

5) And my rear tailgate still barely opens and requires a second push of the button to get it to open all the way. Know issue, but just wondering if anyone knows anything about a fix to that one as well.

Still love the car - 19k miles in 11 months of driving this year vs 3k on my ICE SUV, so that says it all...

All minor stuff but very annoying. Just want to know if I am alone or not. Cheers.

Serious reply:
1) Make sure your mirrors still auto-fold. This has been turned off by some OTAs.
2) Can be disabled in the navigation settings.

I have it frequently with the Ford Pass. Currently can not open close the trunk, frink, or up/down the windows. I have a iPhone 15 Promax

I have a 23 Premium.

I'm not an expert by any means.

You should be able to just push the button on the door that is connected to your profile 1-2-3 and everything should adjust to you.

To open the trunk, there is an icon on the screen that has the drive modes on it.

When the car is locked, it takes 2 button pushes for the trunk to open. When the car is unlocked just one button push.

Hope this helps you...

I don’t know what you’re talking about. Opening the trunk is obviously a setting. Which is why Ford wisely placed the trunk button in the settings menu. Duh.

Let me start with number five. If you close the tailgate with the button in the middle, it opens and closes all the way. If you close the gate with the button on the left side, the tailgate will only open to the point where it was when you hit that button. You may have to reset that.

3. My car used to be confused when my wife and I were both in the car with our iPhones. It has now realized I’m king of this castle. It doesn’t happen anymore.

1. Make sure the Ford app is open when you approach the car sometimes my paddle lights don’t work for a short while after a new update. At some point, my car usually figures it out.

Thank you. Yes, I know about and use the 1-2-3 to set for me. My issue is that it always changes to my wife when we are in the car, and I am briefly scrunched against the steering wheel given I a am a half foot taller than she is. The icon issue is that it should ideally be on the top screen vs having to drill down a level. Interesting point about the trunk. Since I use a PASS instead of the key, it makes sense that the car would be locked when I press the trunk button before going to the door. I guess I assumed when I walk up to the car with my PASS, the car is essentially unlocked. I may experiment with my actual key, but this is good feedback. Thank you.

Only would like to have the button on the MAIN screen like the park camera that they added this year. Seems to be a stupid design to have to drill down a level for something as highly used as a trunk opener. For that matter, why isn't there just a lever? Duh.

Two points.

It's called PaaK - Phone as a Key. Not PASS.

Second, the car is not unlocked by PaaK or by the key. It is waiting to receive your input (i.e. kick under the bumper, push of the button) when you have either device within 1 meter of the door or hatch.

As to the car thinking your wife is in charge, make sure that your PHONE and your FOB are tied to YOUR PROFILE. Some people never complete all the steps. Under your profile you should see both. And get in before her.
