Seen on Wednesday night at the local Tesla store in Chicago. They were closed at the time, but I’ll stop by today or tomorrow to take more pics. Quality of the class A surfaces look good. Gaps are consistent and seem pretty tight.

It’s still a very polarizing design. I personally think it looks butt ugly, but beauty is subjective.

Update:

Store was busy and had a short line of people who had to provide contact info to get in. According to the salesperson I spoke to, official announcement is scheduled for Nov 30, when Elon will talk about pricing, specs, availability, etc.

Looking at it in person, quality is like I described earlier. In the right light, the C-pillar seemed a bit scuffed / probably polished several times. The size of the windshield is enormous. The dimensions seem a bit off to me (cartoonish looking).

I personally can’t wait to see these on the road. Pick up trucks are already pretty generic looking, I think seeing this go by will be wonderful, even if I’m not the target audience to buy one.

Would people really rather see another F150/Silverado/Ram go by instead of one of these things? At least I wouldn’t.

Agreed. Although something like a Rivian R1T is both beautifully done and distinctive looking.

Agreed, I think the R1T is top notch and hope Cybertruck sales don’t come at the expense of Rivians.

You know I’m gonna walk back what I said before, I think the Cybertruck, especially initially and if it ultimately proves to not be very capable, will capture more sales from people looking for showy vehicles more than legitimate truck owners.

I can see more Model S Plaid trade-ins than F150 Lariats going to a Cybertruck. I’d guess the highest proportion of F150s going to the Cybertruck would be the Raptor.

Wouldn’t buy one, think it’s ugly……….

But I am definitely curious. Like anyone else’s it’ll turn my head, I’ll take a pic the first one I see, talk to the driver etc.

Given the opportunity to test drive it….. of course!

But still zero chance I will have one in my garage.

It’s for the guy that already has a bright green Lambo.

Apologize in advance for totally subjective, one man’s opinion, comments about to happen…SPOILER…Tesla fan boys look away now!

If by polarizing design you mean Butt Fn Ugly…yep I agree! The insanely ugly design of all Tesla’s is about the only reason I simply could NEVER buy one. The other flaws are forgiveable.

Thank the lord for diversity. Great truck, horrible aesthetics. But, you go on with your bad self. Glad you can look at the Rivian without barfing. I won’t hold that against you. Lots of people think Ford screwed up the Mach e! Happy to have all EVs changing the world, even if they are butt ugly. Seriously dude…it takes all types and I can disagree with you and still buy you a beer if we ever met at a charging station.

You couldn't pay me to trade my raptor for the POS.

They won’t pay you. You’ll have to pay them ?. All joking aside, I get what you’re saying. I am not a truck guy, but I actually like how the raptor looks and love the functionality of it.
