What? No way. I thought this is a post about conquering the desert in a Mach-E!

We have 2 EVs in our household, but east coast rural isn't quite as sprawling as west coast. I do have a CR1, which certainly helps reduce intrastructure anxiety, but my husband's C40 has comparable range to a standard range Mach-E, and can do our rural road trips (though we haven't tested rural plus towing yet). Hopefully with time (maybe through access to Superchargers), your scenic desert road trip will be more doable.

None of these answers fit me. The world is ready for ev’s. Our job 1 gets about 12k miles/year. They don’t make an EV 1 Ton truck. The f350 goes about 4K miles a year pulling the 5th wheel.

None of these answers fit me, either.

Whether your household is all EV is not all that matters!

Main car, the MME, does the work, heavy lifting and c30,000 miles per year.

We have air source heat pump home heating and a heat pump clothes dryer.

Only wifey’s ICE burns fossil fuel in our household, though it does just 4 tanks of petrol per year so we’re probably better than almost all households in terms of how little fossil fuel we burn ?️

Yeah. To answer the poll I have 2 EV’s and an ICE hybrid SUV. Because 200 mile one way to my cabin 7000 ft elev climb and snow. My RX has been driven only 600 miles this year because of my MME. But the winter is upon us.

That's one way, not roundtrip. Those "roundtrip" ventures down to the Colorado River pack on the extra miles big time.

It's 80 miles one way without them.

No, I did it twice. And double checked via GoogleMaps. 91.2 miles with those 2 bays added in. Even if you did them on the return trip, that's still doable.

I really do not know how to take this thread… @RickMachE is correct. OP’s link even shows one way 80miles ONE WAY….
In my CA RT 1 in dead of winter I wouldn’t even hesitate to take this trip without charging anywhere.

to the OP who wants a Tacoma - go for it. For me I will enjoy my EV road tripping MME and my e-Golf city car.

What is the distance if I add in Echo or Calville Bay?

Why are you comparing my standard-range car to a CA Route 1?
See post #10. 91.2 miles.
