As much as I would want one right away, I will let them get a couple of seasons under their belts. They have had residual software issues which has delayed the car and I don’t want any part of that.

This is true of any EV. Stay away for at least the first year, preferably the first two years until they've removed all the gremlins from the system.

I do need to do a better job at spell checking
In my own defense, which I really don’t have any, I only use an I pad, which is a pain and since I am retired I don’t really care that much.

more important things in life, golf, cigars and scotch . Hard to fit all that in while on this forum.

not easy doing nothing .

Just read an article that says that Porsches don’t have 1PD - they use something called “sailing” which basically sounds like coasting. There is some way to add in regen with paddles, which, to me, sounds kind of clunky.

I still hope that one day Porsche will offer 1PD - it is technically super easy for them to enable this as an option.
They “just” need to get behind the idea that some people want that.

I don't think I can buy a BEV that doesn't have 1PD as at least an option. I love it.

At this point every BEV should have the option of 1PD as well as the option to turn it off.

People seem pretty evenly split as to liking or hating it. So if you don’t give both options you’re cutting your target buyers in half.

Personally I hate 1PD, but understand that others love it.

Yeah, I’m kinda hooked on it now. I really wouldn’t want to go back to “old school” ICE driving. Ah well, it’ll probably save me a boatload of money …

I’ve disabled 1PD since I went to the Porsche dealership this weekend, see how I would feel going back to 2PD.

Reality is I’ve driven 2PD (heck even 3PD) for most of my life. I know how to, I adjusted quickly back to it… but 1PD is just so nice.
