I had an issue last week where the car failed to charge at home. I think the root cause was my home charger because it decided not to charge anything at all until I reset it. While I was troubleshooting, I deleted my home charging location in the car. I'm finally getting around to re-adding it back in, and the car and app are not cooperating.

I charged for a few minutes to get the car to register a recent location. I set this as home. I went to set the preferred charging times, but tapping the boxes to set a window aren't doing anything. I get the audio feedback that I tapped the right section, but nothing happens. The window stays set as charge anytime.

I then tried to change the preferred times on the app. The app lets me change the preferred times, but clicking save gets a "FordPass is not responding" error, even though every other aspect of FordPass is working fine.

The weird thing is, in the car the Home location carried over my old departure settings without me entering anything, but not the old preferred times. I'm currently unable to change times at all.

Any ideas?

I have seen this before. Go here.

You can adjust several settings on the touchscreen under the connected vehicle features menu, such as:
Vehicle connectivity.
Share vehicle data.
Share vehicle location.
Share driving data.

Turn off the share settings and turn them on again.

I appreciate the response. I turned all the vehicle connectivity off and then all back on. Nothing has changed. I still cannot change preferred times. I even tried to delete my home location and add it back once again without any success.

One more thing that MIGHT be worth trying…
Delete the home location. Charge for a minute just like you did. But when you re-add the location, name it something else. I had a similar problem. And my home location is no labeled “Mi Casa.” Somehow I couldn’t get the car to completely forget the old “home” settings. But a new save location at the same address it was happy to let me create new settings.

So that sort of worked, but not completely.

I can now limit the charge to below 100%, but I still cannot limit the charge times in the car or in the app. I think the software has gone screwy.

I give up. I got back in the car, and all of the charging settings are gone. All locations, all departure settings, everything. This thing is completely screwed.

Stop trying to set things in the app. Set them in the CAR.

I was in the car, and got it to at least save the location and charge % there. It was gone by the time I got in it again. It is the CAR that will not let me change the preferred charge times.

In the CAR, I can set a location, a max %, but then the edit button for charging times is broken (there is no pencil). I get audio feedback that I hit the right spot, but nothing happens.

I just deleted and re-added the location as Murse-in-Airy suggested. I still couldn't change times, but could save the rest. I saved it, but it isn't sticking.

I only used the app when the car wasn't working, and the app didn't work either.

I had that issue in the past. Deleted all locations. Instead of selecting my home, I set the whole zip code as a location a set to my desired 80%. After a few days, I’ve tried again and it allowed me to create a location for my house and it saved. Not sure what happened but it is back to normal now.

The app is syncing with the car, erasing what you are doing, IMO.

Delete all charging locations in the app.
Reboot the phone.
Go to car see what it shows you. Set what you need to.

Don't touch the app for a few hours, and see if the car settings hold.

I have never heard of anyone setting a charging limit for a zipcode. How is that remotely possible?

I get where you are coming from, and that is what is likely causing the location to now drop off, but the root problem of no charging time adjustment was there long before I started using the app, and is still there.

Doing what you asked gives me the same problem, and I'll grab a pic to post here. I can go through the charging settings in the car all the way up to the point of choosing the times with no problem. The charging time screen is just plain broken in my car. There is no way to get to the charging time adjustment page. There is no pencil to edit times, no matter what I enter for a location. I think my software is just completely broken and may require a dealer trip.
