Should work with both, it's just the signaling with an adapter like that. It would tell it to use the DC pins or the AC pins
Nope, it will not work with AC. You cannot route AC voltage to the DC pins on the Mach E, nor can you route the DC voltage to the AC pins on the Mach E. Unless you want to see flames of course.

This adapter is the Magic Dock, and will be provided to Ford by Tesla.

Wow, so impressed that ford is giving this to owners instead of making them pay for it. They could easily have charged for it and a lot of us would buy it.
"Eligible" owners. Others will pay for it ;)

Sorry to be negative :)

FORD TO OFFER COMPLIMENTARY TESLA SUPERCHARGER ADAPTER TO ELIGIBLE EV CUSTOMERS

JAN 31, 2024 | DEARBORN

Last year, Ford announced that its EV customers would gain access to Tesla Superchargers across the U.S. and Canada beginning in Spring 2024. As that moment approaches, Ford President and CEO Jim Farley said today that eligible Ford EV customers will soon be able to reserve a complimentary Fast Charging Adapter.

The Fast Charging Adapter will provide Ford F-150 Lightning, and Mustang Mach-E owners access to Tesla’s V3 and above Superchargers. Ford will start to transition to the NACS charge port from 2025, removing the need for an adapter for direct access to Tesla Superchargers.

For the latest on the BlueOval Charge Network – already North America’s largest public charging network before adding Tesla Supercharger access – click here.

Phew! That said, I wonder what “soon” means since — @Ford Motor Company — BlueCruise v. 1.3 was supposed be an over the air update last Fall and most MME owners like me, still don’t have it!

New Tesla stations are reconfigured to accommodate Mach-e

IMG_0049.jpeg
sorta... the cords are still too short. they only work for both Tesla and MME if the pedestals are in the center of the space, If they are like the ones in the picture, you have to use the one for the space next to you.... causing conflicts with Tesla parking.

from the message above, the MME is in the wrong space...

I should add, this will not stop me from using it...

You can see in the picture that there are no AC voltage pins in the adapter for J 1772.

"Eligible" owners, likely meaning people who buy a new 2024+ model.

Complimentary with a renewed BC subscription. Just joking but it is odd to think what an “Eligible” owner may be.
I would guess that means first, original owners. So if you bought your MME used maybe you won't get one?

Edit: Farley has now posted details that it's one adapter per VIN.

For sure the dealers should be given a pile of them so that every new buyer receives one at delivery.

But this post seems pretty clear that he's talking about current owners. Perhaps "eligible" means retail customers that still own the vehicle, not like fleet buyers or those who have sold already.

Is this adapter works for both DC and level 2 as well ? need to carry another level 2 adaptor ?
DC only since Tesla uses the same pins for both. The adaptor would be crazy expensive if it had to sense L1/L2 vs. DCFC. ?‍♂?

The adaptor depicted in the above pictures, looks different from the ones that are already available.
Is this adaptor capable of 350A or 500A. Will find out soon. At least, it is looking like we will be able to use the Tesla superchargers by the end of February, I hope.
I'm sure it will handle the max current the MME can demand, but the max charging rate is 150Kw per hour.

This would exclude my VIN since Ford would not let me buy the 360 camera hardware. ??
