I have been seeing at least one a month for the last 6-8 months. Just passed one on the freeway over the weekend. I have not seen a Blazer or Silverado EV yet.
Are you in Detroit or near that area?

Hehe! I saw one for the 1st time 2 weeks in my neighborhood. I've seen more Subaru Solteras than I have Lyriqs. Things aren't going well for your manufacturing and delivery processes when one can see more Solteras. Heck, I even saw the Lexus RZ and a Toyota BZ4x before I saw the Lyriq. That's wild especially when you consider that Cadillac was manufacturing the Lyriq long before the other cars I mentioned.
Lyriqs are plentiful in Florida (well for an EV with such low production number). I've seen about 8. The ugliest color is that light blue.

I've seen the same number of Ariyas and saw my first copper Ariya yesterday.

I see one or two Mach-Es every time I drive now in Orlando. Probably the most common EV after the Teslas and Bolts. Ioniq 5s are everywhere also.

I’m in FL as well. I guess they’re slowly rolling out.

Interesting Bill. I guess that's the difference between out west and the northeast. I just can't believe I've seen a Fisker Ocean before I've ever seen a Lyriq.

I was on Car Guru last night and ran across a few AWD luxury1. Price close to a MME premium AWD.
I’m seriously considering if the numbers are good. What are your thoughts? Any pros or cons?

I have never driven the Cadillac but from what I have read it will not handle like a MME. My car is so much fun to drive fast in the curves, it's like an amusement park ride it is so much fun. You won't get that with the Cadillac. It will drive like a luxury SUV. Perfect for highway trips, so it isn't a bad thing necessarily. But I prefer the sports car like handling of the MME.

From my reading, the Lyriq is optimized for the 'luxury Cadillac' ride. It was, in a couple ways, superior to the MME. It also was my first choice, but I decided the GM needed a couple more years to make it a suitable car for someone with only one car.

Today I test drove a 24 Lyriq Lux1 AWD. Beautiful car and with $7500 off and $1000 Costco rebate very much looking into. Unfortunately my 23 Mach E Premium AWD with 7300 miles took a dive of $28,00 in negative equity. I’ll love my Mach E a little bit longer.

Lux 1 - big fat pass.

No SuperCruise, no premium audio, etc

Basically a Mach-E Select.

My March 2022 order (24 Sport 2 AWD with SuperCruise) arrived at my Caddy dealership after almost two years and I had a chance to test drive it on Saturday - pre PDI (lol).

They both have similar sized batteries (102 kWh vs. 99 kWh) and AWD acceleration is pretty similar. The price difference is large though... $71K (2024) vs. $59K (2022)

The ride quality and lack of wind noise are the immediate differences. The Lyriq is very much like the Ioniq 5 - floaty but quiet and comfortable. Similar to the i4 and iX also. It drives more like a car/wagon and not a true SUV like a Bronco but then again the Mach-E isn't a real SUV either.

Ventilated seats and slightly nicer materials than the Mach-E

I know most don't agree but I feel that for most folks the Model Y, Mach-E, Ioniq 5 are interchangeable. They have minor feature differences and have varying NVH and varying levels of tech but they are not vastly different like a Rivian R1S or MINI electric or Polestar 2.

The cargo space in the Lyriq is marginally more than the Mach-E but there's no frunk. It has SuperCruise (which I didn't test) instead of BlueCruise and an audio system that is only a minor step above the Mach-E. It's a mostly a normal car with a start button, physical controls for windows, steering wheel, shifter, and pop out door handles like the Korean EVs.

At $71K it is too expensive but with the $7500 Ultium Promise (available to everyone), $5K model year transition (only to those who ordered in early 2022), and Costco $1K incentive... it's competitive. It appeals to folks who want a nicer interior without sacrificing range (i.e RZ450e or GV70 Electrified)

I didn't purchase that day and suspect I will decline it tomorrow (officially). I sold my R1S because I wasn't driving it much and was underwhelmed by it overall.

With a $12,500 discount to MSRP, I’m surprised you’re declining it. That Lyriq Sport 2 is a very nice ride for $59k.

It is a very nice looking EV but check any of the Lyriq forums or reddit- it's been having a lot of issues. IMO I would wait another year for them to get the bugs ironed out.

In a few ways the Lyriq was my first choice. As mentioned above it simply has too many issues to be ready for a one car household. I am guessing that it will be a good car sometime in 2025. There is also the issue of availability of a number of key upgrades. If they can get the price down about $5K it could be a compelling purchase.
