Has anyone been able to confirm the pricing with Amazon for the installation?
the one time I tried to hire an electrician through Amazon (for a doorbell installation for a doorbell I bought through them), they wrote me three days later and said "sorry nobody will do it."

never again will I trust them to contract any work of any kind. My time is way too valuable. (*)

(*) yes, even with all the sh*tposting on here

12 months later, the charger that came with my bolt is still sealed in the original bag stashed safely in the subtrunk. I doubt I'll ever use it.

Don't bet your last dollar on that. AAA already had a demo program in several cities, where they would send a truck with a charger to give you a small charge. They dropped it, because it was hardly used and wasn't cost effective. They still provide towing service, but right now they refuse to let you ride with the tow truck. So yes, they will tow your car to a charging location, but you'll be stuck on the side of the road. Not an optimal position to be in.
Things will change as the US goes to EV. Funny, when my car was towed my wife and I both rode with the tow truck driver. ;)

Sure. Most likely. Probably. The thing is, the time to plan for emergencies is before they happen. And you never know what will happen. I've had AAA for years (even though I often had concurrent road side assistance bundled with my car) and never had a problem with towing until I did. I called them 2 years ago, and they promised a truck in 45 min. An hour later their app reported that the tow truck was headed to the opposite part of town. After 2 more hours and multiple calls, I gave up and called road side assistance from my insurance. Long story short, I wasted 4 hours. Things happen!

Not sure how common it is, but when @OutofSpecKyle got a flat tire on his Model 3, the tow truck driver let him ride in the Tesla on the flatbed.

They sure do. I have an Acura with roadside assistance and they sent a flat bed towing truck in 45 minutes! I’m sure Ford wants their rollout to go smoothly and you’ll have a similar experience. I never had AAA and always relied on roadside assistance from manufacturer (always get Extended Warranty so I’m covered for usually 7 years and I trade cars before they’re up). My 2015 Acura is an exception and I’m investigating if I can purchase Roadside Assistance from them again. If not, we’ll go with my insurance, State Farm which has been great when we’ve had damage to our cars from other people (usually in parking lots). I’m paranoid about my new Mach E because of all the hatred out there from previous Mustang owners! I’ve read things they’ve posted and shutter to think what they would do to my brand new car. Even though I know State Farm will stand beside me I don’t want my baby damaged!

This is why I was hoping the MME would have a "Sentry Mode" type capability. Watching all of those videos of people keying Teslas, I would love to have the ability to turn camera footage over to the police / insurance if that happens to the MME.

My colleague Tom Moloughney will have a full in-depth AC charging overview of the Mustang Mach-E tomorrow. Yes, it charges at 48amps as we know but he goes through all the at-home charging options. Keep an eye on InsideEVs
Thanks Kyle, looking forward to it!

Ford Pass works great on my iPhone and they have an icon for Roadside Assistance. I'm too chicken to click it because I'm afraid it would start a cascade from them thinking I was in trouble. Has anybody tried it?
I went ahead and tried it just now.

Go ahead and check it out. After you tap on Roadside Assistance it will go through a few more screens before you get to one that has "Submit Request" and "Speak to Agent" options at the bottom of the form. I didn't tap either of those.

I'm going to use it and have my MachE towed from Mexico to my house.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
