Mine has been plugged in and on since February with no problems. I have only had one or two times there was an error/fault with the charger and in those cases I just shut off the breaker switch for the charger for a minute and flipped it back on.
Thanks for the response. How did you know about the error/fault that went on in the past? Was there an indicator to notify you about it?

Yes, The blue light on the charger box will turn to yellow and/or you will get a message in the Ford Pass App saying there is a charging error.

Thanks again. This is very useful information for me, being new to all these.

I never get the message on my Ford App. I do notice on the Ford App, that my charge rate, miles/by time on charger is close to 10-12 miles/hr

FOOTNOTE:
Since this thread lives on.....
I realize that Clipper Creek is not cool, but virtually all EVSEs have some Clipper Creek technology, whether legitimate or not. Some work well, some do not. Clipper Creek works.
Do not fall victim to COGU (as in Utilities) and buy their charger recommendation and be at their mercy.

Unfortunately my power company doesn't offer any rebates :(
I believe there is still a federal rebate. Maybe 30% on install and equipment ask your tax guy.

As for chargers pick a big brand and you will do fine. Clipper Creak, Wallbox, juice box, grizzly, charge point, the ford one,

For those intersted, this charger has gotten quite good reviews. I had it installed and it works on some other cars well but still havent received my MME. Its on sale for $399 for black friday it looks like which seems like a good buy for a wifi connected charger:

Have had ours for 1.5yrs now & no problem. Has multi function phone app.,easy to adjust charge rate. At 40A get 30-31mi/ hr charging.

I've used my Ford Mobile Charger for the past 18 months, with no issue at all. Suddenly last night I received a message that the charge failed overnight, and now the Mobile Charger has a solid red light displayed. No matter what I do, I can't get rid of the error. Any suggestions? Or did the charger die?

The FMC is a notoriously unreliable Electric Vehicle Service Equipment (EVSE). Many people have had it fail. It’s really not meant to be used daily and definitely not in hot environments. Get yours warranty replaced and keep it in the car for occasional use only. See which EVSEs your local utility will give you a rebate on. ??

The first step is always to unplug from the car and unplug (or turn off power) the charger for about 2 minutes and then retry again. If the red light returns you are looking at a new charger most likely.

Thanks........I tried that, as well as many other tactics too (swap the adapter to 110 and try a wall outlet, reset the 50amp breaker, etc.). Nothing worked. Looks like it is dead. went ahead and placed an Amazon order for a Juicebox 40 a few minutes ago.

You might still want to take the charger to your local Ford dealer as I believe they can warranty the charger and give you another one so you have it as a backup (assuming you are still under 36,000 miles). They will need to see the car too probably to at the very least confirm mileage.

Which charger do you like best? I'm having a 240 installed* I haven't had the time to do any research so I came to the experts!
my vote is on a Tesla Wall connector.
