Thanks so much for your help with this!

I've had vehicles give similar errors in the past due to rough highway conditions (and bumps and potholes in the road) and assumed the driver assist issue was the same issue. Maybe bouncing the cameras or something loose. Maybe I was mistaken though.

Which TSB should I look into on the driver assist functions failing intermittently? I'm going to try dealership number 3 and would like to be as prescriptive as possible on the issues I'd like them to resolve.
See attached. I would also ask them to look at the two open campaigns under your VIN while you're at it:
  • 22P31 REPLACE THE ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE HARNESS CONNECTOR
  • 23B50 CHARGE CORD STUCK REPROGRAM BATTERY CHARGE CONTROL MODULE

Dear forum members,

I own a Ford Focus ST Line X from 2022 equipped with SYNC 4. This morning, when I started the car, I noticed that SYNC 4 was not functioning properly. I am unable to access the climate control (see attachment), and my phone no longer connects. It seems as if only a partial update has been installed. Even that i have the latest SYNC update installed. A reset with volume/forward button and a factory reset didnt solved the issue.

My dealer is reluctant to address the issue and suggests waiting for an update.

Could someone please check via the VIN number if any unusual problems have occurred?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

I am not very familiar with your vehicle, but I can tell you no updates have been sent to your vehicle since December of 2023, so whatever happened was not due to an update. Your car reported some some codes to the cloud a few days ago citing communication issues between the GWM and the APIM which is had never recorded before (see attached). However, there are no TSB's or SSM's cited next to the code, so the dealer does not have any leads to go by to address the issue. Other than that, I don't see any red flags. Try a few key cycles to see if it comes back. If you have FORScan, you can try resetting the APIM. If you don't have FORScan, disconnect the 12v battery for 15 minutes or so and reconnect it. As a last resort, you can try a master reset.

Thank you, Javier, for reaching out so fast and offering your assistance. I really appreciate it! I'll give it a try and let you know how it goes. Thanks again!

Much appreciated - here I go to dealer number 3. Hope this one actually helps me with it!

Perfect. If you remember it later, let me know. Thank you very much for your help.
FDRS shows both an IPC and APIM update. That's great. You just gotta wait for the OTA process to get to you.

Perfect. Thank you very much. You have some paid beers here in Puerto Rico when you come on vacation. Or a coffee. Whatever you prefer. Thanks!!!

I just bought a 21 Premium used with 10,000 miles-lease turn in. Had a bunch of recalls and CSP’s done. They supposedly updated the bluecruise module. I have no bluecruise working in the car and it doesn’t show up under connected services. I’m thinking the update maybe wasn’t finished. Can someone take a look at my VIN and let me know if that’s the case or not or if I am behind on any updates that could be causing the issue? Thanks in advance

Anything new show up this week? Thx! 3FMTK3SU9NMA41574
No OTA in queue at this time. The list below is from PTS which I don't fully trust. I'll try to remember to cross check in FDRS later when I get home.

OTA 6.8.0 failed 3 times last month due to a hash request error. Not sure what that means, but based on some quick research in the University of Google, it seems like an issue on Ford's side.

Below is the warranty history for your car. Went into vehicle history and can verify that the what they claim to have done was done including the 21G01 to activate Bluecruise which shows it was successfully done and they claimed to have road-tested the car to verify it was working.

So Fordpass does not show BC in connected services for you? What does your touchscreen say when you look up the BC expiration date?

It doesn’t show up on the touchscreen at all either. No options to turn it on or off. This is a job 1 car but it has all the hardware as far as I’m concerned and has the updates so I’m lot sure why it doesn’t work

Since BC is a cloud based service, the first thing I would try is calling Ford customer care and see if maybe they can flip a switch to turn on the BC subscription on their side. The other thing you can try is a full master reset. This will reset everything and you would have to reconnect your vehicle to your Fordpass account.

In the meantime, I'm going to ask someone to take a second look at your car to see if they see anything that may be preventing BC from working on your car.
