Heard about one who has a delivery date on Facebook. I can't vouch for the reliability of the information. It could be inaccurate dealer info. See reply from Jessica Libby on this post.

Yep. If there were a few hundred already being unloaded Saturday in KC (and whatever that 2nd place was with the mountains seen in the background of Emma's pictures), then seems like many of those would arrive at dealers by next week. In fact I'd kind of expect some to show up this week, although maybe those first few aren't heading to dealers (executive cars or something).

Mine still shows the default date and production date of 12/11. No new dates. I am hoping for something this week. It is an FE, SoCal and in the first 5 mi utes of ordering.
Since my sticker says rail I wonder if a train will go straight to Cali since we have as a state the highest number of orders. I am assuming that because I recently read an article that more Tesla’s especially in SoCal are sold than any other state.

I still think Galpins railhead will be in play for SoCal. Logically it makes sense. Trucks could unload them all there and distribute. I do know for a fact that Galpin alone had in excess of 180 orders the first week of MME ordering

I think every EV model (regardless of manufacturer) sells more in CA than another state. Not just Tesla. Ford said early in the year that something like 30% of all US MME orders were from CA. No surprise.

But that doesn't necessarily have any bearing on where the first handful will show up. Shipping logistics will probably determine that.

in one sense that makes sense however Ford wants these on the road ASAP. If Cali is your biggest market then that is where you want your cars to land first to get more sold.

That is as good a reason as any....
The other side of that coin might beg the question to ask how much sense it makes to make special shipping arrangements to a state that is virtually locked down due to pandemic concerns. Would very many owners even be on the roads anyway?

In maryland, the roads are so jammed, you'd never know anything was going on. the first several weeks it was a ghost town, but not any more. people don't seem to care and just go about their business.

We have 5 branches in California (SD, LA, SF, Sac and Fresno) they are struggling to get work completed and we are essential services. Permits and inspections have basically stopped for the most part and materials are in short supply. About a 3rd of our work force is out as well. Slow going for us out there....

Glad to hear that others are working as normal. Hope people are staying as safe as they can.

And getting some on the road ASAP likely means the closest points in the transit routes they could secure.

We're not really talking that much difference though. It's only a handful of days difference between somewhere like KS or TX vs CA. An extra 1200-1500 miles.

And just want to go for drives to get out of the house. Even if they don't really go anywhere to spend time.

That's another great think about a car... it's its own little COVID safety bubble.

Yeah I think the supply and resource constraints you mention are real.. But I have no idea why there are so many cars all the time - well I am on the road as well - I am with an essential work org and travel to work twice a week and and surprised with the number of vehicles.

Bakersfield is as busy as ever. Yes we’re are an oil community and oil is considered essential. The only thing closed are restaurants. Everything else is open. The I5 to LA and back has THE worst traffic. Apparently no one in LA or Bakersfield knows anything about staying home.

I know for a fact that Galpin is busier then they have ever been. People are definitely buying all makes of new cars. The only obvious sign of a pandemic is that people wear masks. I saw a gal the other day with a pink bedazzled face mask.
