Ty @rugedraw is there any procedure I need to have the dealer do in PTS, connected vehicle section to "reset" the updates so it knows which version I am on after doing all the updates in FDRS? Or they will just sync up with each other next time it goes through my batch of updates?
Thx
A network scan with FDRS will sync up the car. It should already synced in your case if you just updated manually. I like to do a network scan after I manually update modules. Maybe it is a placebo, but I always do. If your license is still good and you did not do a scan after clearing all the updates from the list, then plug in and do a scan just to make sure.

Ok cool, I did do a network scan after, and it shows no updates while plugged in or just now I checked, and it still shows current so I should be good.

Those are not the correct changes needed on the IPMA. He said those are "values of interest". There are also changes that need to be done to 02-02 that are not mentioned there.
So then back to my original question.

If I apply the pending IPMA and PSCM modules, will I ever get the config changes OTA or via FDRS needed to actually turn it on? Or will someone releasing the needed Forscan changes be the only way BC 1.4 would be able to be turned on?

With the PSCM/IPMA updates, you will gain the BC stability improvements included in BC 1.4, but not the features (lane change assist, predictive speed, etc). When Ford fully releases the update, yes you will get it via OTA or FDRS.

The FORScan changes will not be made public until Ford officially releases the updates.

What exact "stability changes" would this be? If it means less frequent deactivation and fixes the "hug the right lane marker" issue, it would be worth applying. I've got some long trips starting next week and not looking forward to doing them with BC 1.0.

Sorry, posted my VIN in the wrong thread. You can delete the reply with my FDRS info.

No problem, in my experience going from whatever my car had to latest FDRS version (1.3?) I do notice less de-activation on narrow roads and better recovery after it loses the lines in the road.
Only downside is the pre-slowdown for cornering is somewhat aggressive sometimes and I have to put more accelerator pedal in to compensate.

Less, much less frequent deactivations and much improved lane centering.

Looks like a new Gateway update just dropped. For my 2023 GT PE.

Had the HVAC update pop up for me this morning; since I only have the 48hr license I decided to apply it before work this morning. FDRS is running slow as molasses for me today. Probably everyone logging in this morning at the same time!

Ok cool, I did do a network scan after, and it shows no updates while plugged in or just now I checked, and it still shows current so I should be good.
So to elaborate a little...FDRS is a direct connection to the servers when you are hooked up. In fact when you run your VIN without being connected to the car you may see no updates at all....but then when you connect with the adapter and run a network scan...suddenly there's something in your available list now. Your car reports it's status when you drive (daily payload). But I don't know if a complete manifest of your current software revision levels is sent each time (along with the list of CMDTCs your car is reporting daily). So this is one reason that you may have something available to apply with FDRS...but you won't know it until you actually connect to run the network scan. Fridays used to be the day that most MME updates showed up in FDRS. Lots of times I would see others posting about an update that just appeared...but when I checked my VIN there was nothing showing...until I took the laptop out to the car and connected....and that's when it would show up. If I didn't do that the update would still show up...but usually a day or so later. (This is why people usually did their updates on weekends...because of the "MME Friday" schedule.)

It also used to be the case that OTAs were OTAs, and updates applied using FDRS wouldn't trigger the "You've just been updated" OTA notifications in Sync. I have done some updates this year (mostly things like GWM or other items that were also concurrently scheduled to go out as OTAs) that even though I did them with FDRS...then next day I'd get a notice saying that such and such OTA was successful.

If you're doing updates with FDRS and not waiting for OTAs then as far as your OTA update roadmap goes you've "left the reservation" and you'll have to consult the list of powerups and try to match the date and module shown there with what you did in FDRS.

Having said all that I've gotten a notification of a mysterious "Small changes here and there" update that shows as "Not Completed" in Sync...but this morning in a FDRS check of my VIN I show a gateway update that wasn't there yesterday. So I guess it's time to get out the gear and knock these three out:

?

If you mean that there's no date showing...that's the new "normal" going forward after Sync 1049. Just a map version number now. No expiration date.
