Now that you are here, that's not a real question. :p:cool: I just wanted to say hello, I've been lurking for a bit. I am in Charleston, SC and new owner. I don't see many of them around here and I think the activity on this regional forum demonstrates that. I have a '23 premium extended range. I had a dealer loaner GT for a day and wow is that fast off the line!

Welcome to the forum @portersFord ! If you've been lurking a while before joining I'm sure you're aware there's plenty of great info and a fair amount of entertainment available here.

Just ordered my adaptor last night. I'll run some tests and let you know the approximate inertial energy cost of carrying the new adaptor just as soon as I get mine in, uh, August of 2024.

Since this thread is by definition off topic, I'll go with that and point out that there are so few of us here in the southeast, we need to stick together. Enjoy your new Mach-E.

Continuing further off topic, but staying in the southeast, I note that long road trips from Baton Rouge to Memphis or Birmingham are nearly unimproved by the new Tesla charging options, unless one detours to Vicksburg or is helped by a charge near Tuscaloosa (which is almost to Birmingham). What we have here, I think, is an absence of regional users.

I can guarantee at least one forum member will do an analysis with pages of graphs...

That come-on was clever, but for those that fell for it, the adapter probably wouldn't affect range as much as a big dinner at a restaurant.

If you put the adapter on your lap or in your pocket then you won’t have a reduction in range because the weight isn’t directly on the Mach E, right?

Suspended weight or unsuspended weight?
