Dealer completed my recall 23S56 and CSP 23B50. In the shop about 24 hours, but at the dealer for 28 days! Waiting on parts, lift, and EV tech. Can anyone confirm that LK9Z*10C666*C is the correct part for GTPE?

Hello guys, I have a question that I got a safety recall which is HVBJB, dealer said it takes around 1wk, not sure why but anyway, they can provide the loan a car so I agreed with that. Today is the 1wk and nothing updated, I called them and part shortage, they are still waiting for part. Anyone has same issue for that?
here is how my dealer did it they came picked up the car left me a loaner. Called about 2 hours later said we are bringing the car back we had to record the model information to order the part will call you when it comes in. Multiple weeks later they called the part arrived they delivered me a loaner picked up my car and did the recall. It took about 3-4 days.

They told me the car first had to be "checked in" before they obtain the parts

Just for everyone else's edification, these dealers are absolutely full of nonsense. They do not need to see the car physically to order the part. They just need the VIN number, but you can give them that over the phone, via email, via text, by a website message, or carrier pigeon. They do not need to physically lay eyes on the car. You do not need to take the time to drive in to the dealership just so they can order the part. You do not need to have them pick up the car and be without a car for a day just so they can order the part.

Don't let a dealer waste your time like this.

I agree that a VIN should certainly be sufficient to stock the parts. They sold me the car. They had my VIN before I dropped it off. If Ford prefers to pay for a few more days on my rental, it's out of their pocket. Makes little sense to me.

Thanks so much for confirming. I continued to take long trips with the risky HVBJB, but now I will no longer have this small doubt in my mind over being stranded.
