2022 Mach-e trouble free till date, 24-PU0102-SVD-FX software failed 3 times till now. 12V battery SOH was anywhere from 90% to 64%, so this might not be an issue. Called the Ford OTA team, they asked to take car to the dealer.

Wanted to check in the group, if somebody with FDRS account can help to see what is going on (can DM VIN) and any recommendations on how to fix this and if dealer is the only choice - give me some pointers, so I can let dealer know what is going on (Trust this group as compared to dealer)

It was the GWM update, you had an Update Manifest Parse Failure. The OTA was cancelled by Ford and will try again. To fix the issue, you can try disconnecting the 12V battery for a few minutes to reset the modules.

If that still doesn't work, then you will need a manual update from FDRS to fix it.

Try making sure all 12 volt accessories are turned off. I had several failed attempts and it worked when I turned off all 12 volt usage (HVAC etc. )

When I couldn't get an update to complete - I jumped through a lot of hoops and read the valuable information on the forum! I had false hopes of prepping to get BlueCruise 1.3! My attempts and tests revealed that my 12 V battery was weak and it was replaced. I did get the updates to run after doing a slow charge of 5 A via my JuiceBox. @Mach-Lee has since written a great summary.

I had an appointment already set with dealership for 10K service, so I did not take much action myself on this.

See below, dealer did an update to all the modules to bring it to current level, irony is technician recommending turning off OTA updates. which is opposite of what Ford would recommend, the reasoning of dealer was that they are seeing more problems getting created by OTA updates. Hopefully this is not the case. Also given this recommendation, they did not answer my question if my car will start getting other updates appropriately/automatically post this manual updates. If experts on these forums can shed some light on this, clearly would prefer any fixes/improvements to automatically come to my car.

Yes, I agree. Pretty sure Ford would not agree with the Tech's recommendation.

The did not 100% update everything, but they fixed the main issue so you can again receive OTA updates. You got a SYNC update a couple days ago.

You should leave OTA updates turned on, the tech has his own opinions about that. They need to stay on if you don't want to get behind or miss out on new things.

For the last few days I have been trying to get this update to install, but to no avail.

The system reports that the update is ready to install but whether I go for "update now" or leave it to the scheduled 1am nightly update slot, the update never installs.

How can I check the 12V battery? What can be the reason this is not installing? It appears to have already been downloaded, or at least that is what I deduced from the statement "update ready to install".

Any pointers would be most welcome!

Very unlikely that this update is failing (or failed) due to your 12v battery. Need your VIN to check.
