38 months and a little over 39k and we are at 91.5% SOH. It could be better but to be honest I haven't planned for long term battery life. I let the battery run down to the 20% range then charge to 100%. We use faster chargers a lot as well. The only bad habit I didn't embrace was leaving the battery charged at 100% for long periods. These days I charge to 80% a few times a week now.According to the Car Scanner app, my '21 Select, RWD, Std Battery shows 6% degradation after 39 months and 35k miles. This was checked after an 80% charge and an ambient temp of 68 deg. The GOM used to show 200 miles on an 80% charge but now shows 190 (which is down about 6%). Sound about right?![]()
Looks like your mileage is tied with Teslaeata's. You don't have to spend much at all. You need a OBDII bluetooth adapter (~$30) and the free "Car Scanner" app.I'd be curious what mine is, 84000 miles, 21 ER AWD.
What is the minimum equipment I need in order to check it without spending big $$$?
Aye, mine’s an ER RWD carrying half a tonne of tools everywhere, not bad for a works van ?Looks like your mileage is tied with Teslaeata's. You don't have to spend much at all. You need a OBDII bluetooth adapter (~$30) and the free "Car Scanner" app.
This is true! After learning and participating in the infamous Nissan Leaf battery SOH saga, the Mach-E battery degradation is of little concern to me.
What I would be concerned with regardless of which make/model is the delta between the lowest cell voltage and the average cell voltage. A high SOH value isn't going to do me much good if a weak cell ruins the party.
Which app do you suggest..........I see several free ones?Looks like your mileage is tied with Teslaeata's. You don't have to spend much at all. You need a OBDII bluetooth adapter (~$30) and the free "Car Scanner" app.
This is what I use.Which app do you suggest..........I see several free ones?
The one that Matt posted. It's literally called "Car Scanner" ELM OBD2. The developer on Apple Store is Stanislav Svistunov.Which app do you suggest..........I see several free ones?
Oof, just took my car in for service this week and they said 2 of the HVB cells need replacing so that may explain my 89.5% SOH! They said battery modules are on backorder, so could be a while... This is annoying, but on one hand I'm getting some new cells that may extend the life of the battery a bit, I guess? In my 2021 Premium ER, 30k miles I'm at 89.5% SOH. I only DC fast charged a handful of times and keep it within 40-85% charge. I bought it used, so no idea what the previous owner's charging habits were.
Really interesting! Keep us posted the effect on SoH the new modules have.Oof, just took my car in for service this week and they said 2 of the HVB cells need replacing so that may explain my 89.5% SOH!
