He has asperger's so he thinks and acts different than your typical Entrepeneur. I'm guessing he's simply outsourcing everything supercharger since the internal team isn't effective for him. The guy created Paypal to fund Tesla, which is the company that started the entire EV renaissance we are currently living in. He was also one failed launch away from SpaceX never getting off the ground, but bet the farm and succeeded. Now here we are with financially viable reusable rockets. I'm sorry you think he's a clown, but he takes big risks for the betterment of humanity. His goals have always been to create a multi-planetary society without destroying our current planet. I can't think of a single person who has made more progress toward that goal, and it's one I support. I can't understand the Elon hate, but probably because I'm a huge fan of his work.

NOTE: Feel free to label me an Elon fanboy, guilty as charged.

But I'm willing to admit that my beloved GTPE wouldn't even exist, nor would I be sitting in it right this minute if he wasn't as crazy as he is.

So I guess I do owe him a thanks?
The car is awesome.
This ^^^^

The MachE would not exist, and neither would BlueCruise if it were not for Tesla / Elon Musk. Same for every manufacturer with an EV product right now.

So, you can choose to ignore and not support his products, that's fine. But, his impact on the auto industry cannot be denied or understated. Same with space, solar, and a few others because he's not done yet.
Recommend to read the biography by Walter Isaacson. It's very interesting and includes more detail than the headlines that initially formed your opinions.

I have no problem with his past contributions to various industries. I used to love watching the early SpaceX launches and following their progress. But he has completely lost the plot in the past few years and has no business running any public companies. It is legit shocking to me that he has not yet been removed by the Tesla board... well, not THAT shocking, I guess, considering who the board is comprised of. But here we are...

Competition is always a good thing for the customer. I welcome the $500 million investment and hope to see more announcements in the future from others.

Its so nice to be able to use the Tesla network on road trips as long as you have an adapter. It's also nice being able to choose between CCS or NACS.

For this summer I plan to use the A2Z Tesla Supercharger adapter until the official OEM adapters is in my hands.

Forgot to mention opening NACS and SuperChargers to other EVs. He built that network and could have easily kept it all proprietary, which I'm sure advisors and other CEOs would have picked in a heartbeat as the strategy.
But no, all of us are going to (eventually) benefit because he just wants to see EVs be successful, not squeeze every last dollar from a closed charging network.

I have done just fine without superchargers so far. I will continue to be just fine without them.

I wish that was true for us since they still don’t have a single (ZERO) CCS DCFCs in Lubbock, TX and we are super happy to have the Tesla supercharger available now. Waiting for hours using L2 chargers on a long road trip really sucked. Thank goodness the stress will be gone next time we go through Lubbock.

Factually inaccurate. PayPal was not created to fund Tesla, since PayPal was founded in 1998, and Tesla not until 2003. Further, Musk was not a founder of Tesla, despite suing to be declared one.

Fanboys should state facts, not fiction.

I want him on Mars badly...

I said fund not found. Does your lack of reading comprehension constitute factual inaccuracies? Rage on angry hater, I can see Elon lives in your head rent free.

So he created PayPal to fund a company that didn't exist, which was then created by others, not him. Got it.

Oh yeah, and Tesla isn't a car company, it is an AI Robotics company...

Ketamine anyone?

Lol the blind rage is comedy. You want to argue semantics about where the 1.5 billion (OK $175 million Elon personally received) for PayPal went be my guest. It was the big payout he used for subsequent business ventures. Do whatever mental gymnastics you need to feel vindicated. I'm just eating popcorn and enjoying the show.
