Adding another data point. That APIM update (with the new buttons) showed up for my 2023 (Job 1) in FDRS mid-March.
Well that is interesting. I have not seen a 2023 job 1 with the update show up in FDRS yet. Are you in the EAP? Mind sending me over your VIN (in a DM is fine) so I can check software levels?

I have a new FordPass PAAK bug it seems, not sure if FDRS updates caused it. Seems It either is a FordPass bug or an update I applied with the powertrain updates that broke 1pd a few months back.

Seems more to be on the iOS/App side than the car because no matter which version I try on my iPhone 14 I cant get it to show "connecting" under bluetooth status. Its always disconnected no matter how many restarts, sign in and out of app, try the test flight beta, retail release. Sync still connects to car play and plays media fine, can still remote start the car in the app just no PAAK is available.

I have to reset the PAAK in the car, remove the key from the app. Then re-pair the phone and make a new backup code then it will work for a random amount of time before it just stops connecting to the car.
@LeanneL and another had this issue once after an update, but I have had it happen twice now and I haven't updated since the powertrain fixes came out. Car and phone are both updated to latest versions so just seeing if anyone else has had PAAK weirdness over the last few months.

After I did a round of FDRS updates last Friday, the easy entry OTA, which my car received and successfully installed a day or two prior, began showing as a failed update on the software update screen. Will this clear on its own?

Not until another OTA comes. I used to get this with previous updates. Would show Completed for a period of time and would change to Not Completed. I feel like it’s a system bug that hasn’t been addressed.

Snakebitten and Mike G have already indicated based on experience that it took less than an hour to complete the latest powertrain updates. I am trying to decide whether to proceed tonight given 2 hours of daylight left. Anybody else complete these within that timeframe?

As a side note, I am finishing up CMR, which does not use USB and it is
Taking a while - about an hour.

I live rural on fairly wooded property.
Very dark at night.
So the constant on/off headlights at night can be seen across the pond at my daughters house.

She has witnessed her dad often sitting in the truck after dark, sometimes very late, doing something with a laptop and turning the truck off/on continuously.

She just rolls her eyes and texts me to go to bed. Oh, and to get a life. ?

All updates are completed on my 2023.5, except for DSP since I removed the B&O amp. Sadly, I am still on old Sync and APIM does not show as an available update.

I have two theories:
(1) at some point there was an error and I have to some how manually force the APIM update. Any thoughts?

(2) the system is expecting to see the amp, and due to the DTC’s from not being able to communicate the amp, it won’t show the update. Maybe I need to use forescan to turn off the amp, run updates with the system configured with no amp, then turn back on the amp after updates are done.

Anyone have any ideas?

Doubtful the DSP is needed to show the updated APIM, if I recall correctly, it came after the Sync UI refresh. Also, this DSP is bugged, it’s hit or miss if it clears when doing it via FDRS. Mine never cleared and I just got it OTA last week, that finally cleared it.

Thanks! Anyway to force an APIM update?

I couldn't get logged in successfully yesterday with 40.4.5
Rather than fuss with it, I rolled back to 40.4.1

FDRS can be so fussy since they went to SSO.
Ya know? That's what happened to me this morning for some reason. Worked fine yesterday (I was only on very early in the morning), and then this morning I try to log in and immediately geta "Stack overflow Line 1" error and then after entering credentials...nothing...just sits there. And then I remembered the trick from a couple of months ago of clicking the "create account" button ....and then it magically decided to let me in.

No changes were made to this laptop (Windows updates maybe in the middle of the night?) by me. And this laptop stays on all the time...so I have no idea why it would work one day and then stop working the next.
