No, you just have to wait for it to be released to you.
Thanks. I thought the point of FDRS (vs OTA) was once it’s available to your car (model/trim/year/job), then an update should show up? Does this mean it is still tied to an individual car?

Correct. FDRS can't pull an update on the server that isn't there. Ford needs to release it before it can make it to your car with FDRS or OTA.

Not all of the latest updates are certified and released as available updates for all model years at the same time. There are some updates that are done that way, but many are not.

Take the recent APIM update to Sync 1122. That one hasn't gone out to all model years yet. It did go out to a lot of 22 MY cars, but for some reason it isn't out for everybody yet.

Thank you! It sounds like I am as up to date as can be.

One question, FDRS crashed when it was performing post-update actions for the CMR update. I rebooted and it seems to be ok since it shows green. Is there something else I should do to confirm absolute success in update and configuration?

Not so far!!
Then I would not worry about it. If you license is still active, it won't hurt anything to run a config procedure on the CMR to make sure, but if your car is fine, I doubt it is necessary.

Hi. Just want to say I can’t thank everyone enough. Your guidance here has allowed me to feel like my car is my own!
I know the feeling, and it is a good one.

I have heard “config” processes mentioned before. How do I do that (assuming it’s not on the SW update page).

When your on the screen that shows all the modules with green boxes you can click a module and it will show all the programs related to that module.
each one will have a configuration program and a PMI program. The config one just writes the config values to the car and the PMI checks and re-flashes firmware/software and then writes the config file.

PMI (Programmable Module Installation) is usually only if something errors out and won’t clear codes and is unwilling to cooperate after an update, if it ever happens and you run it select “no” when asked if it’s original module.
However a power cycle, clear and retest, and then config program is usually all that is needed.
hope that helps

I have been so happy since doing the latest powertrain updates (and with the dealer updating the CMR, IPMA, PSCM a few weeks ago).

My icons look good (apparently I'm a unicorn 2023 job 1 that grabbed the 6.14 APIM update in FDRS before it was pulled). The car no longer swaps between drive modes, HF BC seems to engage almost instantly when I'm on the highway. The car finally seems stable.

I think I'm going to turn off Automatic Updates and stay away from FDRS for now while everything is working :).

So it’s not my imagination that APIM was available….. I wonder why they pulled it (or why they don’t want ‘23 to have updated sync yet

Apparently I picked a good weekend at the end of March to buy a FDRS license, because that's when it was in the list. I hope my car won't end up out of sequence.

So for those thinking of getting a license...I cannot login using FDRS 40.4.5 this morning.

I had trouble starting on the 13th but managed to get by...but no longer.

I get this "Stack overflow on Line 1" before the login dialog box shows up:
Ford Mustang Mach-E The Complete DIY Guide to Updating Your Mach-E with FDRS FDRS_Logon_Error

And after clicking OK it does display the login dialog...but entering your credentials and clicking the "Sign In" button results in a momentary flashing of the button and then...nothing.

I tried the old trick of spamming the Sign In button and then hitting the "Create Account" button instead like I had to do two months ago...and also selecting the "Privacy Settings" link at the bottom and then hitting the backspace key to return to the login page... (those tricks used to work).....but sadly that's not happening today.

Also, another clue....the "License" button is "Green" indicating I have a valid license.....but if I select to "Return" the license because I'm thinking of transferring it to another computer...it tells me it can't find my license in the "trusted storage" and to call Rotunda tech support.

So I called Rotunda....and that nice lady gave me the FDRS Tech Support phone number specifically for Independent Operators like we all are....(888-354-7558).

I called and got a nice guy who listened to all of my symptoms and then said..."We know. It's happening to everybody."

"We have tried everything we know and nothing has worked...and we now have escalated this to Ford. We don't know when this will be fixed....but the fix should result in a new version of FDRS being released whenever that happens."

So if you're thinking of getting license for the weekend...I think I'd wait.
