FordPass 5.0 Released

Just logged into Ford.com and noticed that the Charge Level seems to be the HVB and not the LVB. Can others please try it and see to make sure it's not just my imagination?

Mine shows the LVB because I know my car is charged 100% mine says 83

Under the hood, there are some major major improvements. The UI changes will be a bit YMMV, but the reliability, speed and responsiveness updates should be night and day. There was sooo much we wanted to do but couldn’t due to what’s already out there. We absolutely pushed for the best we could do given our existing limits.

We all were very cognizant of the forum complaints and issues — internally we had the same issues and complaints.

This has been a loooong time coming. Heck I remember my initial pitches for it which feels like a lifetime ago.

Thanks for the upgrade. I especially like the google maps search function that shows availability as well as just the locations.

All Paak and vehicle controls should be in tact. Paak/BLE Controls are under the BLE controls and are available when in range of the vehicle.

I guess I'm going to have to be "that guy".

This update is a downgrade.

We lost trip planning and charge station controls and data. We also shouldn't have to scroll screens up and down to show more controls. We also don't need a giant picture of our vehicle on the home screen. We all know what we are driving.

I wish I could revert back to the previous version.

Phone as a Key. I never use it preferring to carry the key fob. Old school? Yes. Reliable? Definitely.

Very happy to see these updates. But with the vehicle status bar, I don't understand why it cannot indicate if vehicle is locked or unlocked. We see vehicle on, vehicle parked, vehicle driving. However when I try to see if car is locked I cannot.

I’ll sort of reference a few pieces of prior commentary reflecting limitations of the existing systems. Unfortunately anything attempting to display that status will quickly find out that it will become extremely unreliable under some common conditions.

The beta testers can likely speak up to an extent on this now .

Boo hiss. Don't wanna hear reality. Give us....possibility! Seriously though. All improvements appreciated. Understand that "perfect" takes time.

Prior to 5.0 you needed to be connected to your phone to start it. With 5.0, they allow the car to be started independently of your phone. During the summer when I would go for a run (I go without my phone) I would occasionally tell my wife to start my car in 30 min. Now I just start it on my own.

Another runner here, agree with ShaggySS, anytime you can leave the phone at home, is a very nice time indeed!
