My departure in this area was a while ago, but one thing I would note is without quite a bit of rollbacks and re-thinks on features that were already out there, much of what you see would have never happened.
No I agree with ToOldForThis, the trip planner on the Ford Pass phone app was very useful. I don't like the redesign without it. As many have said in this forum, it gets old taking a step back to get one forward.

Nice! For those of debating on switching over to android auto fully once our 3 years of connected Nav expires this is good to read! Between android auto and comma.ai might be able to recreate all car capabilities at a fraction of the cost.
Apple Maps here, but agree with MacherAWD that free phone apps are preferable to paying for the native app after the trial period concludes. The only benefit I see to the native app is the battery preconditioning before pulling in for charging on the road. And the native Ford GPS has gone to the wrong address one too many times. I do like the native GPS interface though. I wish Apple would use it!

There's no manual app refreshing because the way the app works is different than prior. The app will always have "live" data provided by your vehicle. This area will basically show what the vehicle has last reported at all times.

Think of how the Tesla app works or other OEM apps (if you've used them previously).
The Tesla's running into parked emergency vehicles or the other ones?

I agree: The trip planner in the older version Ford Pass app was very, very useful. Many others have posted the same comment that the trip planner feature was very useful for them.

We do not understand why one of the most useful features in the app had to be removed. Why would Ford ever need to remove one of the most useful features in the app? Seeing a previous post stating something about "adding new features/changes to the app required removing some old features such as trip planner" (my rewording) makes many of us want the old version back.

A strong request to Ford: Please bring back the integrated trip planner feature. There are no other equivalent options that directly integrated with our cars.

I don’t get why lightning owners can turn on and off their seats but we can’t…

I have read that AA/CP support preconditioning en route to chargers, or should soon.

I wonder if the trip planner was based on Here maps (which was mentioned earlier as being terrible). So they might be trying to move to google maps. Could be totally off base but just a guess.

Any big architecture shift will require compromises, and you can’t let be perfect be the enemy of good.

I tried the trip planner once. It wanted to add 3 hours to a trip for no logical reason.

Went back to companies that focus way more on mapping technology.

I see you can start the ac before entering. But can’t find remote start yet. Maybe the climate control is good enough not to get in a hot car

Just logged into Ford.com and noticed that the Charge Level seems to be the HVB and not the LVB. Can others please try it and see to make sure it's not just my imagination?
As of yesterday, my Ford.com page is now showing the HVB and not the LVB. It sucks because that was an easy way to see the LVB state of charge.
