Just logged into Ford.com and noticed that the Charge Level seems to be the HVB and not the LVB. Can others please try it and see to make sure it's not just my imagination?
I think you're right, or they're coincidentally the same for me right now.

I had the 4.x android version of Fordpass, but got granted into the "beta" new app view several days ago. The location and service buttons were missing. Today I deleted the app data and cache, force stopped and updated to 5.0 in the play store. I now see the location and service controls now. I did have to setup the phone as a key again. With the flakiness of that feature before, I'd rather do a fresh setup with app version 5.0 to ensure there are no legacy app gremlins still around.

I'm liking the new app better. The fan button makes sense to me as for EVs, that's kinda what "remote start" does. The hood/tailgate buttons are much easier for me to use. 2 levels deep to press instead of a long press on the main screen works better for me.

One thing I really don't like is that my car's location and other data will be shared with Google. I turned this on briefly to see how it works, but would now like to turn it off. How do I do that?

@Ford Motor Company Please make it so we can use the location feature again without sharing information with Google.

FYI - "Charge Level" @ Ford.com still shows LVB charge level for me (HVB = 86% & LVB = 78%) are two different %s).

I don’t know if anyone else is having this issue, but mine shows that my vehicle is on when I know for a fact, it is off and parked in the garage. This is the 2nd time it’s been parked and incorrectly states the vehicle is on. ?

Mine shows the LVB because I know my car is charged 100% mine says 83
Just got the car back from the dealer service and checked. The HVB is at 73% and now the LVB is at 93%. Last night I checked since it had been getting service all day and it was at 39%. When I checked again this morning I saw 75%, which was the same as the HVB. Must've just been a coincidence that they were both the same.

TL;DR Nothing to see here, move along.

If i could count how many times I have accidentally hit the lock or unlock button and when it told me to hold the button I thought "wow, glad I need to hold it instead of accidentally lock, start, unlock the car by accident".

I like where things were on the old design, and the ”looks” of the new design. I switch back and forth often trying to find things. Old design i felt i could see more if what i needed on one screen or swipe. The new one seems things buried in menus. I currently use the old design and jut waiting till I’m forced to use the new one.

Yeah and when I got home it showed my location as still being at work. Once I clicked the Door Lock everything updated. I tested the Climate on the first try when it told me my vehicle was on. That also cleared it so something is up with it refreshing.

Maps for your car's location and chargers are back! I definitely missed that in the beta. It looks like trip planning is still gone, though? (Didn't use it a ton, but I did notice it was gone when I switched to the beta.)

EDIT - [removed inaccurate speculation]
Except now it requires that you share your location data with Google to use any of the location services. That’s a non-starter for me.

100% agree. If I didn’t care about sending all my data to Google, I’d buy an Android phone. Apple at least pretends to care about data privacy. Even if they don’t, at least it’s only one giant faceless company that knows my every move instead of two… ?

I actually just had this same thought last weekend! ? Would be nice to be able to choose the behaviour in the app settings.

Yes. The car has to be plugged in. When I got the updated app, my car was already at the target charge level. I pressed start and it said charging to 100. I don’t know if that button is there when you first start charging. Which I hope is there. I wouldn’t want to wait until it reaches 90 before I have to tell it to go 100.
I guess I can just set the charge level to 100 temporarily. But that could be a pain in the ass too.
I have my default charge level set to 90%. I just started charging and don’t see any option to charge to 100% “this time only” as we were able to before. Might have to wait for it to hit set limit. That would be a pain.
