Besides the regeneration you get with one pedal, and less wear and tear on brake pads, the other benefit is through insurance. My company has the safe pilot program and if you don’t use the phone, hands-free or not while you’re driving or hard brake the discount is pretty good. I got the car in the middle of the Insurance period so I don’t receive the discount till November but it’s going to be about $185 off my six month policy which is pretty darn good. Hands-free texting where you use the voice in the car, that doesn’t count against you, which is OK. It’s definitely not a program You want to sign up for if you’re totally addicted to your telephone, like my daughter.

thanks for moving to a new category. I wasn’t sure where to put it.

You get regen with both 1 and 2 pedal. The only time it uses the friction brakes are when the regen braking force isn't sufficient.
I guess I haven’t used 2 pedal enough to realize it!

It's more about preference than efficiency. I love 1 pedal and would never go back. If you have brake coach on it'll tell you if it's just using regen braking.
That’s enabled, but I always stay in the whisper mode. I don’t know. I’m still kind of a ICE mentality the more performance the less miles you get.

The good thing about this car is that regardless of the mode you use it'll maximize your efficiency, so just drive in the mode you like the best!

It's all in your foot. There is no real performance difference because there are no shift points with a single gear transmission, you get additional torque available, the real difference is in the steering feel.

Brake coach only is active in 2PD regardless of the setting.

I have to disagree with that because when I put it in engage, I’m always in one pedal in the brake coach pops up and says how much you’ve regenerated now if you’re not seeing that maybe that is a result of one of the updates because I have had no updates, but I’m pretty sure I’m correct here. Somebody help me out, lol back me up

This topic comes up a lot as our blended braking system confuses a lot of people as to how it works.

Bottom line- no matter what drive mode you are in, the amount of regen or friction brakes is determined by how quickly you slow down, not based on drive mode.

Think of it like pushing a button vs pulling a lever to open a door. Two different inputs to accomplish the same task.

Letting off the throttle in 1PD results in the same regeneration as hitting the brake pedal in 2PD if you’re slowing down at the same rate.

so are you in agreement as well? One pedal in the engage mode will show the brake coach in the corner?

Right I don’t disagree with that, but someone had said it does it only in two pedal mode I never used to pedal and when I put it in engage, I see it pop up in the corner?

I get ya . Im NOT saying anything one way or another .I just found the manual page so here it is.It thought it actually said in the manual which mode it appeared in but maybe that was the manual for my 21 Select.
I LOVE one pedal.
I think it might've been Mach-Lee who advised to switch to regular braking ever once in a while to knock off the rust on the rotors. Good advice .

I don’t use 1PD, but that should be easy to test. And yes, I see brake coach in engage mode for 2PD.

Since we both have GT models, we also have the power meter (which shows regeneration and power) in all modes.
