Last year(?) there was a discussion about using a longer blade for the rear window. Did any of you try this idea? How did it work out? Did you end up having to replace your blade motor? Did it really help to have the longer blade?

The Bosch A401H blade works even better than the Trico 15-G blade. Having tried both, I speak from experience.
Thanks for the recommendation. I searched for that one on Amazon and was offered a compatible knock-off that's even cheaper than the Trico, from "Wowiper." Anyone have experience with this brand? Amazon reviews are solid though I take these with a grain of salt:

I also have the Bosch A401H. The increase in swept area and visibility have to be seen to be believed. These ought to be OEM.

Have had my MME for 3 months. People recommended both new wipers to me. I went with the trico because 1 inch more isn't worth twice as much to me. Works great! Just dove in the rain today actually.

I put a Trico 15-G on my car before I test drove it. I got a Bosch A401H last year for kicks. The Trico is more flexible so it conforms to their rear window curvature better, allowing a slightly wider wipe. The Bosch is longer(16” vs. 15”) so it wipes a little higher than the Trico. I don’t think one is necessarily better than the other. Choose your poison. They’re both way better than the stupid little wiper Ford spec’d into the car. ?‍♂?

I did buy that knockoff Wowiper and it's fine. I don't think you will notice a difference. No idea how long it will last but at $8 it was worth the risk. Go for it.

I have the Trico. I would/will buy again. Thanks for the review of the Bosch A401H, I was going to try that wiper next and now I think I will stick with the Trico. If the Trico curves with the window better maybe it will wear more evenly as well. The A401H has picture of it installed on a GT in the amazon reviews. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002G3FOQ...5Y0XBMPIG&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1

For anyone replacing the rear wiper I would suggest you watch a video of how to replace the rear wiper. The process may be 'normal' but I find it ridiculously easy to damage something if you don't know the process.
