It cannot be "leaked" because the module updates needed to enable BC 1.4 are only available with FDRS. If someone were to make the FORScan changes needed to enable BC 1.4 on a vehicle without the necessary software in certain key modules, all it will do is break BC altogether.Beyond Ford employees? If so, they must be a tiny number or it would have leaked by now.
I wholeheartedly agree with this. IMO, the best part of the BC 1.4 update package for people coming from BC 1.0 is the greatly improved BC stability and lane centering function. Lane-change assist is convenient because you don't have to disengage BC to change lanes. The in-lane repositioning works well, but it isn't going to blow anyone away. The predictive speed feature is too aggressive for my liking and I have it turned off.During the ensuing year of "soon" people have made the BC 1.4 upgrade into something amazing and wonderful. I fear they're in a world of hurt when they find out it's just an incremental upgrade. Yes, for BC 1.0 users, it adds lane change and covers more curves on the freeway but it's not transformative.
I fear an even bigger backlash when it does rollout to the mass population where people say, "I waited this long for this?"
