I agree. In my store, we check lease returns for open campaigns and do them before they get picked up or sold just to bill hours. It's beyond me why any service department would not maximize profit from every visit on warrantied vehicles.

Btw, I reread my previous post and my apologies it if came off as abrasive. I didn't mean for it to be if it did.

Not much. Your car is on the latest Sync version and are only showing these. You may also have a pending GWM that does not show here.

Hello,

I have my car sitting at an unfamilier dealership due to being stranded because the car would not charge faster than 11KW while on a 400 mile round trip. I had to drop it off afterhours and find a ride back home. I have FORD Premium protect coverage and they applied a "critical software update" he said fixed the "module that locked up that controls the charging" but did not check anything else based on what he's telling me. I'm told I will have to pay $250 for the update although there is nothing in the EXP fine print that excludes software updates, just software upgrades, ie. upgrading to a new version of sync. I never got an email from them or any other details showing what was done and as of yesterday he has not submitted the diagnostics. Can someone look it up and let me know what they did and if this should be a covered repair? I was at 67 miles of range after charging for hours and still had 125 miles to go. I have someone taking me to the dealer on thursday to pick it up and I want to be prepared to argue this should be a covered repair. Thank you! VIN 3FMTK3R74MMA06116

Yea, CDK being hacked has 15k dealers nationwide at a stand-still including my store. These are the updates they did that do coincide with a campaign.

The updates they did are below. These are the things @Mike G is better at since he is more familiar with these vehicles. Attached is the TSB that I think pertains to your issue. The updates they did don't line up with the TSB exactly. I am confident that there is a TSB out there that would cover this under warranty, but I am not sure which is ESP and what it covers or not. This is a tricky one for me.

You are on Sync 23291 which is the latest or close to the latest available. Modules with pending updates are below. Your modem is working fine and the car is talking to the cloud fine. You just have to wait for the next batch to be sent to you.

Some of us have been trying to understand these updates for years and still don't, so don't feel bad.

If you have a specific issue, it helps if you say what it is so we know what to look for. The only thing that pops out to me is a code your car is reporting that refers to a TSB where you may need a CMR update to address a bad OTA that is affecting Bluecruise and driver assist features.
