I have my home charging target set to 90%. Until recently, when starting a charge session I could use either the phone app or the car center display to change the target to 100% for that charge session. Now, the app always says it is charging to 100% with no override options, yet the car still stops at 90%, and the car display no longer has an option to change the session charging target. The only option I could find is to change the “permanent” target charge for my home location (and set it back afterwards). What am I missing?

Does changing charge level just involve the phone and car talking to each other, or is Ford also involved? If it is just the car and the phone it sure is slow.

YOU aren't missing anything. The new app is missing "charge to 100%".

What do you mean "is Ford involved"? The car and the phone don't talk directly except via Bluetooth, for unlocking and such. Everything else goes through Ford servers. Is that what you are asking?

Yeah - does the Ford server have to get involved with the change. By the way, our Wallbox meter/charger is still, 6 months after it was suppose to be ready, not functioning. Right now the charging rate is 1500 watts, it is rated to be capable of 32 amp charging. And sometimes it does not want to connect.

Yes, as stated, it does.

What does a Wallbox charger have to do with charging limits? If it's charging at 1.5kW, then it's set wrong or wired incorrectly.

None of the Wallboxes will go above 1300 watts at this point. Before they would hit 4500 which while below specs was OK for an overnight. The company that installed them was considered one of Seattle's best for high rise buildings.

We just got an update from the condo. Great instructions, when Wallbox tells us to update our charger, Don't. Also when you use the phone to access unlock the charger, it shows a screen saying view available chargers. Don't. Even though it shows my home charger, doing so messes up the software. grrrrrr My response to the board, all I want is a boring charger.

ps - we now should have 32 amp charging available. Maybe.

None of your Wallbox issues have anything to do with the car or FordPass app.

When plugged in the new app will show a "start" button. That is the "start charging to 100%" button. Not intuitive? Lol

Our meter/charger from Wallbox cannot operate without a smart phone.

Which still has nothing to do with the FordPass app. Perhaps you want to start a separate thread?

No it’s not because those statement is inaccurate. The statement is missing something. When plugged in and not charging, the “start” button is active. If the car is charging, the button is marked “stop.” If the car is not charging and below its charge ceiling, the “start” button starts the charge and the car will stop when it reaches its charge ceiling. ??

Yes it is confusing because of the updates. At one time you could set the percentage in the car settings. Now you can set them in the FordPass and not the car settings.

I will try that next charge. That a pathetic excuse for an interface design. Thanks.
