I keep both the Tesla Tap Mini and Ford/NACS adapter in the side pocket of the trunk. When I'm on the road trip I put it in the drivers side door pocket.

On my ~4800 mile trip I kept it in the cubby under the wireless charging bin since I used it at 41 of 47 charging sessions. That was quite a convenient spot. I have since moved it to the bin in the door for even easier access.

Why even keep it in the car if you aren't planning on doing a road trip? Unless you cant charge at home that is?

When I am on a roadtrip I've been keeping it in the sub-trunk area, or the middle console (since trunk will be full with luggage/items etc at times on trip. It's $200 value. You better believe someone would steal it if they broke in and found it, however unlikely that might be.

If you don't use the frunk, that is probably the best place to keep stuff, including valuables. I used my frunk too much to store anything there along term.

I'm not sure exactly where mine is stored at the moment. Likely in tiny little pieces in some warehouse in China, waiting to be delivered to some factory in China who'll eventually ship the assembled pieces to Ford... who will then ship it to me.

Then again, with an order number over 110,000, it's possible that the raw materials for mine haven't even been mined from the earth yet.

I keep it in the frunk mostly, along with a destination adapter and the Ford plug charger.
When I did my Victoria BC to Edmonton AB road trip last month, I just kept it in the door or under the middle console.

I guess I might’ve missed that down the road, but I did not realize you couldn’t charge the car if the batteries dead. So the big battery cannot be charged if the little ones dead. Interesting

The on-board charger’s electronics rely on a 12V source in order to operate. No power, no work. ??

My Tesla Destination adapter is in the bag with my Tesla Mobile Connector, under the cargo bay floor. My DCFC adapter is in a bag that I have in the driver’s door pocket. The bag has a pocket in it that’s handy for keeping Ford’s instructions in. ??

(But also in the center armrest console. Which I’m pretty sure it would fit in the Mach e one as well given that’s where I kept the lectron L2 adapter for a long time)

Does the Ford adapter work with your Rivian? I assume it would work with other manufacture's but I haven't had a chance to test it with my Taycan. From what I have read we can only use Supercharger's with the Magic Dock. I haven't had a chance to stop by a V3 Supercharger and see if Ford adapter will work... I do believe it will be a waste of time since I've seen nothing about anyone having any success.

It's not a Ford adapter, it was just sent by Ford. Yes, it will work with a Rivian.

You haven't seen anything about anyone having success using an adapter at a non-Magic Dock site? Where exactly have you been looking? That's the whole point of the adapter.

I am just curious where everyone is keeping their adapters? I keep mine in the box usually in the back seat floor. But too big for the glove box and awkward for the frunk.
