To be clear: You installed the BCM last week via FDRS (and so should have the newest one that Mike G discovered a couple weeks ago.) This newest one (that I'm calling July 2024) isn't being sent OTA.

The one that people are getting OTA is from March of 2024 so it's not really "new." It's just the OTA system catching people up.

Correct I installed the one Mike G talked about from FDRS. I have not been sent anything to attempt to override that. (If I am, I’ll post).

I recently turned off auto updates because I'm concerned about getting an update that will lock me out of my car or worse.

Any glitches for those who have downloaded?

This looks a lot like a fix that prevents getting locked out, reading between the lines of the corpspeak?

Looking from the outside in, it's hard to tell what they are trying to accomplish by rolling this out aggressively now. Maybe this older BCM software is less prone to getting bricked by an OTA so they are rolling people back? Who knows?

I wouldn't put money on it, but has the sniff of truth, right? Explains why they appear to have aggressively rolled through the 23 fleet instead of doing a two week ramp...

I Noticed 24-PUO121-FTDI-FX installed on my 2023 GT an hour before dropping the car off at dealership for new Battery control unit, Charge port and Cables.

I will have to check and see if they updated new modules or any linked modules with new. I would assume they will..... Oops, should not have said that.

I got a notice yesterday too, but I had just turned off auto-updating in the morning, out of concern about people getting bricked '23s from some battery/software issue. So I'm holding off as of now. Any info appreciated!

The update that is queued up and waiting for my approval is 24-pu0121-ftdi-fx ota - the subject of this post...

I also had turned off auto-updates due to concern with the rash of 2023 lockouts. But I decided to go ahead and approve this one last night. Installed overnight in my garage on L2 charger with no issues. Car opened and started normally this morning. Didn’t affect my SXM presents or any other settings as far as I can tell. 2023.5 Premium 4X.

Any update that requires the vehicle to be inhibited has the possibility that it won't come out of inhibit mode. Based on the name, this particular update is to prevent that from happening. It would be ironic that an update that prevents a vehicle from getting stuck in inhibit mode actually causes a vehicle to get stuck in inhibit mode, but stranger things have happened, I guess.

I actually installed today without difficulty I delayed it til I got back home and just to be safe backed it into the garage and left windows down. Installed without issue

So as I mentioned earlier, this installed last night for me.

And today 24-PU0105-CMR-FX just finished installing which is another old one I never got from February 2024 and had a 50 minute inhibit time.

After 3 failures, it finally completed today.

Failures were because my 12v was @ about 55%.

Retired and don't drive much. 2,224 miles in a year of ownership.

I took the Mach out for a 45 minute drive and started the download when I parked in my garage.

Success!!!

Plugged in the car during the update cycle just because it would only help.

Just got that CMR-FX one today too. It's still completing, best I can tell.

yeah it was listed for me this morning so I delayed waited until I got home, backed into the garage, left windows open just in case. Uploaded without issue!
