I bought the premium care and maintenance plan to 100k. I’m covered. The plans on EV’s is not very expensive
I did the same. I got so much off MSRP (9500), I got the care and maintenance plan, extended warranty to 100k, and the wheel and tire coverage ( in case wifey hits a curb ???)

I did too and feel I overpaid - I took it in for the 10k service and my local dealer (not the one I bought from) told me there was no real service to perform (oh and they said they rotated the tires but didn’t -im
Glad I always mark them before I take them in ?)

My dealer wouldn't even do the 30k tire rotation, because "we don't have a certified EV mechanic on staff right now". Didn't know you needed to be EV certified to rotate the tires.
They've been trained not to jack it up on the battery pack.

My dealer service at 10K, 20K, 30K, 40K miles was $29 each time. I did my own cabin filter twice. I asked about the 12v battery after 3 years and they did a load test free of charge, pronouncing it fine for now. I may buy replacement tires at 50K miles at the dealer just to give them a few dollars for all their work to date.

I’m fairly certain the car figures out the TPMS sensor positions on its own.
This hasn't been my experience. The sensors kept reporting the pressure from the wrong location for a few weeks until I manually performed the TPMS reinit procedure.

We have had our MME serviced at the 5K, 10K, 15K and this week the 25K. All at no out of pocket expense, because we purchased a maintenance plan when we bought the car. Today, our dealer replaced the charger that came with with the car. Last month they replaced the HVJB. Can not complain, our dealer, Krieger Ford, has been great.

I've read elsewhere on the forum that it's recommended to replace brake fluid at 3 years. What's the truth on this? I'm at 3 years with about 21k miles and always do 1 pedal driving. If the fluid degrades or gets contaminated over time, I'm willing to get it done if it'll prevent damage later.

Thanks,
Bruce

Please tell me if anyone in California has been able to get a 20k or 30k service for less than $100, and where? My dealer (East Bay Area, NorCal) comp’ed me the 10k, but they said the 20K for $100 without the air filter (replacing it myself w/HEPA model).

I had great service from Ford today using mobile service. The 30k was completed ($30 to rotate tires - I may use my points) , along with the 24B42 CSP. All completed in about 30 minutes without leaving the house.

It’s weird to me that people pay for tire rotations - adding up to at least $150 - to maybe extend the life of their tires 5-10,000 miles. I mean, just run the tires down and replace. I think some people are just bored.

The dealers are right. There’s nothing really to do. It’s an EV. Just drive it.

It's like psychotherapy. They feel better if they give somebody some money and talk about their problems with the car. The dealer listens and takes their money and does as little as possible.

I recently had my 30K service done. I did take it to the dealer to have all the suspension parts, brakes, etc checked before my factory warranty ran out. When I first scheduled they were going to charge almost $300. It wasn’t price gouging. It was lack of knowledge. The people doing the scheduling aren’t techs. They aren’t even car people. Some places it’s the service writers. Other places it’s just a person whose only qualifications include a half decent phone voice and the ability to answer the phone. The person set me up with an ICE mustang 30K check up. Once I asked what fluids they were planning on topping up and explained that I didn’t even have a transmission, I convinced her that it was a EV. She got a more experienced person to help her and the price fell to $35.
I’m not saying your dealer doesn’t suck, a lot of them do, but there’s a chance it may be a knowledge deficit. I’ve spent a lot of time building a relationship with my dealer and will continue to give them the benefit of the doubt (or continue to take the time to educate them so I have a place to go if I need it.)

I have a 2022 Mach E RWD extended and it's time for my 30k service. I called two dealers in the area and it sounds like Ford is telling them to charge $200-250 for a Tire rotation, cabin air filter (I replaced myself already), fluid top-off and general inspection (including battery).

Given I spent $25 for the 10k and 20k service this is ridiculous! Am I the only one that the dealers are now trying to gouge here? 10x the price for essentially the same service? The one dealer said Ford just released the updated codes for EV service and what to charge.

Also, I asked what if I just did a Tire rotation and they said $50 (what the heck!!!)

What are you guys paying? Any tips?
Ford isn’t telling them to charge that much. It’s your stealership that is to blame here
I've paid $0 for 10K service on each of my Mach-E's... Used FordPass Rewards to pay for them.
So did I but I used $40 worth of them.

My dealer wouldn't even do the 30k tire rotation, because "we don't have a certified EV mechanic on staff right now". Didn't know you needed to be EV certified to rotate the tires.
That’s when it’s time to walk into the office of the Service Manager, have a seat, and educate them about their staff. If you get the same BS from them, find another dealer.
