The link at [Banned Site] also throws an error for the new VIN. If I use the old VIN, the Ford site tells me that isn't on my account (true!) but no error.
What is the banned site?

200,000 + reservations divided by 8,000 a week (25 weeks to hit existing numbers) = Still not gonna get it this year.
Why do 'we' think 'we' are the only ones in line and that first come first served is still a thing in this day and age. It's all about friends and kickbacks.

True, but 8000 is more than Ford has received from Tesla for the last SIX MONTHS. So in that context, this is a massive improvement.

If this holds, someone with a 50,000+ order number might actually have a chance of getting one in 2024 instead of 2027.

So far Ford and Rivian have been alternating shipments, from what we've heard anyway.

Thing being I have a 6,500 # and highly doubt I see mine this year. I figure it'd arrive right along with my BC1.3.

I'm curious tho, why did it take them so long to apparently produce more than a dribble of the adapters, I mean ford has only sent out around 7k, so what the hell has tesla been making all these months?

That's the $64,000 question. Many blame Musk firing the whole Supercharger team, but they were months behind on adapter production even before he fired them.

I'll believe 8k/wk it when I see it. Otherwise more Musking...

The prospect of the adapter production for automakers being handed over to other companies like Lectron that currently have high production capability was probably the straw that broke the camel's back. That would mean Musk would lose out on a revenue stream. He hates that, so he probably ordered production into high gear finally.

Something sounds weird. 8,000 per week, starting when. If my order number is around 8500, I should have it by now! Order moved from, May, to June, to July, now Sept.
I assume they just hit this number. Also we should probably assume they are sending these to Rivian and Ford.

Tesla making 8k a week. Other car manufacturers are”Tesla also noted that OEMs are also ramping suppliers for the accessory. “
So we don’t know what “ramping suppliers “ are?
Not for sure. But there's been talk that GM might have made arrangements with a different supplier after seeing the troubles Ford and Rivian have had getting them from Tesla.

If so, that's probably good news for Ford order holders. If 8k/week is true, most should be filled by year end. ("if")

Yes, Tesla just hit 8K produced. Due to Elon’s faulty reality distortion field, one week in Tesla time is 6 months in human time. That’s nearly 4 years in canine time. ??
