So the big question is when does the 2021 cars get it. Ford already over a YEAR behind our promise update to 1.2/1.3.
Plus I will ask what do us older car owners get for Ford already being over 12 months late on promise updates.

Pretty dead on. I will say I will not be shocked to learn that a class action lawsuit will be hitting ford in the next few years over their handling of BC for the 2021 owners.

Now, can you work on slowing our vehicles down sooner when coming up upon a stopped or slower one? Especially when at speed and coming up on a stopped vehicle at an intersection. The car does slow down until it gets very close. It does stop but it should be a lot smoother and deliberate. With the sensors, it should be able to. Most of the time, I end up having to intervene as I don't feel the car will stop in time.

what are you talking about they are on the hook for absolutely nothing that is not contractually obligated when you bought your car like every other carmaker and every car ever made.

I've had it since last December. Can I talk about it now?

Exciting stuff!

And thanks for specifying the post date in the thread title. It really helps with keeping track of all these BlueCruise announcements throughout the years.

Being well over a year out from when BC 1.3 update was announced and has yet to be released to 2021 MME's is pretty absurd. As much as I love the car in spite of that, it would give me pause before considering buying another one down the road. I was hopeful Ford would do a better job getting meaningful new features to their full MME line up not just the current model year. Unfortunately, being a legacy auto maker that is easier said than done.

I have to say, having driven rented Teslas on long road trips and recently getting to use BC 1.3 that BlueCruise is WAY better than Tesla regarding this. The Model Ys I've driven seemed intent on scaring the crap out of me.

I did my "self-install" BC 1.3/4 after they alted that beta rollout and it was AMAZING. Didn't disengage at all on my commute. Then when they released "1.3" a couple of months ago with newer versions of everything, it is significantly worse than even 1.0 with multiple disengages before curves that used to not be an issue and way worse at engaging. I'll sometimes have to drive a couple of minutes to get it to engage, even when trying the tricks of yanking the steering wheel, changing lanes, etc. Before, it would almost immediately rock 'n' roll. I really hope this indicates they'll at least be putting new updates in FDRS!
That makes me wonder if they are going to stop pushing 1.3 and we will need to wait for 1.4. I have 1.2 on my 23 and it is sufficient for the little bit that I use it.

In fact, you did read wrong.

"It will also roll out via a software update to select vehicle lines in the future."

Do you still see the word MAY?
Ok, my bad, but nothing changes. There could be no vehicle lines selected, or not the mache. No promises made here, and

You mean *IF*.

We agree that Ford states they WILL put BC 1.4 on "select vehicle lines".

There is no statement that *any* MME will be Selected. Maybe they only do lightnings. Let alone which year. Maybe they only do 2024's.

Let's roll back expectations to what's in the release?

They're trying to be honest with us.... let's listen to them.
