How high of water can the Mach-E safely drive through?

Our subdivisions streets got flooded. All rain water, no salt water. No water intrusion in my house or garage. And luckily never lost electricity.

The only entrance/exit for our subdivision has 2 to 3 feet of water to drive through to get out.

Can the Mach-E handle that? I’ve seen some ICE cars drive through, and others that have stalled out. This is day 4.

If it's truly 2-3 feet (above your knees, up to your waist), that's above your rocker panel. There will be water intrusion into the cabin and damage to the vehicle.

States pretty clearly in manual. "Never drive through water that is higher than the bottom of the front rocker area of your vehicle".

Sheesh. I'm kind of surprised Polk County doesn't have pumps out there to help remove the standing water.

I’m not advocating doing it or not doing it. Just giving more info.

That’s in every Ford models manual. It’s to not have a chance of water getting into the cab or losing control. Has nothing to do with MME being an EV.
Here is the 2024 Escape.

I mean, so long as you don't have too much displacement that your tires come off the ground.... :D. That said, down from where I work on this same day, I saw a brand new Mach-E floating down the street cause someone tried to go through the water. Apparently the guy was taking it someplace for delivery.... RIP

I agree that it's not about being an EV. There's far less danger to EVs than combustion engines in the realm of power plant damage.

If I was in your situation, I would try looking for an alternative over land option either walking or on a bicycle or floating like @Tampamike suggested.

I wish you the best and please stay safe. Work with your family and neighbors to come up with alternative options to procure necessary supplies.

You point out some cars are making it through, some are stalling out. The mache won't stall out, as others have pointed out you might get water in the cabin and cause damage.

No one will guarantee though. Make sure you get some good video one way. Get enough views and you get a new car
