Background:
Just had the car in for TSB 23-2155 to fix the camera fault and pre-collision assist not available issue. Tech replaced the coax and it did the trick. At the same time, dealer performed recall 23B50 (Charge Cord Stuck - Reprogram SOBDM) and recall 22P31 (Replace Electronic Parking Brake Harness Connector).

Issue:
Morning of dropping the car off, the exterior door keypad worked as it always has (use it daily). In the evening after getting the car back, I went to access the car via the keypad and it didn't work. By not work, I mean it would not light up when touched, no matter what I did. When ignoring the light up occurrence and just entering my personal code or the factory code, nothing happens. Additionally, when using the FOB to access the car and then exiting the vehicle, I like to hit the lock icon below the keypad to lock it without it honking in my garage. That also does not work anymore.

Other issue (possibly not connected), for the past 3 years, when I hit the door open button, it takes one press and the door opens instantly. Now, for all doors, it takes 3 presses to open (2 if the car is unlocked with the FOB). Press #1 - Mirrors fold out and lights come one, Press #2 - Nothing happens, Press #3 - Door opens. It does not matter how fast you press the button, i.e., 3 times in one second or 3 times over 10 seconds.

Thoughts:
I unplugged the 12v for a minute to see if that hard reset something to make the keypad work and nothing changed. I'm curious if maybe the keypad was unplugged while changing the coax cable for the TSB? Also, I don't think any of this is related to SSM 49676 since there is no alarm issue and all doors open with 3 presses.

Feedback would be appreciated. I contacted the dealership but they aren't responding and I'm hoping to not have to drop the car off for a whole week again as I just got it back...

Thanks

No, shouldn’t be related. What codes does the car have? They might have done other software updates that affected it.

Does the button for the left rear door also not light up or work? If yes, blown fuse.in position #12 in the passenger footwell fuse box. This is a 5A Micro3 fuse, so there are two circuits on the fuse (11 and 12). ??

I’m embarrassed to say I didn’t even think to check the fuses as I was so fixated on the dealership actions. Unsure how it was blown while in the shop but that was it. Fixed the opening delay issue as well. The impacts I perceived on the passenger side must have been a mild case of confirmation bias.

Thanks for the help.

Mine blew as well from the same service. That’s why I asked. I am also not sure how the heck they could have blown that fuse replacing a camera cable. ??

Actually, my fuse blew when I diy'ed the camera cable as well. It's likely that two of the pins in the A-pillar connector touch unexpectedly when you have to take it apart to change the Coax.

It is a 3 pin fuse (combo fuse), I swapped it with another fuse position that only used one side of the fuse.

LOL I didn’t even think to look and see if there was a Micro-3 that used only one side. I could have saved the $8.99 and tax on the fuse assortment (since the store didn’t have a 5A Micro-3 fuse packaged as a 3-pack). Gonna put my dead fuse in position 8 and save the good fuse from there. ????

I used the same one, just swapped the bad side of the combo to the unused side of the 8-9 position. I’m surprised by the lack of spare fuses for the Mach-E unless they’re buried in the other box below the frunk tub.

Had exact same issue when in for Front Camera Fault / 23-2155. Thanks for sharing, replacing Fuse 12 for the win.

Same here, they had it for five days then delivered it back like that. Fuse 12 for the win indeed.

Guess I'll tell them to pull this fuse when it goes in, or at least to check the panel works before I pick it up.

Thank goodness for this forum eh?

I mean... or run an code scan before and after so they notice all the lin bus errors in the doors or BCM
. But yeah, this post kept me from to take them up on looking into the issue again and not having my car another week.

I was about to put my head through my garage door wall when I got back. Audibly said “great, another week at the dealership!”

@Ford Motor Company take note! TSB 23-2155 is resulting in customer vehicles being returned with blown fuses.

Just adding a data point. Brought the MME home from the dealership a couple of days ago for front camera fault issue, TSB 23-2155 completed. Noticed a day later that the keypad wasn't lighting up. Searched the forum for assistance and found this thread. Replaced the fuse and voila.
