I’m not sure why you and Wisconsin feel the need to harass me on something I simply asked for help with. I hope that you find something in life more fulfilling than harassing individuals on a Ford car forum during your weekend. Best.
Because there is NO way what you described actually happened. As others have said, user error.

There you go. No 2023 has Park Assist.
I mean that is great confirmation that my vehicle does not have park assist. The situation mentioned originally where my car maneuvered and tried to park itself in between two poles and a chain, crashing into them, after pressing the P when it was stationed on the park hold did happen. Nothing showed on my screen to indicate anything to park or public parking of any sort. It actually showed the parking aerial view but without me touching a pedal of any sort. I was not on in incline or under the influence of any sort. I’ll find out more tomorrow from my dealership.

Ok, well I wish I made this up and I can be at peace that I did this to my car instead. Be kinder in life. You will see more blessings.

@Isabellags07, your 2023 doesn't have Park Assist. It was eliminated during the 2022 model year. Widely discussed on this forum.

The button still exists, it will bring up public parking locations I believe.

If you had Park Assist, the proper way to use it would be to read your manual, not ask your friend whether you should push the button or not. It is a multi-step process, during which the driver keeps their foot on and above the brake pedal.
If she had Park Assist, the proper way to use it is to ignore the button and park it herself.

Sounds like you accidentally or unknowingly put it into reverse.

It would be interesting to know what happens when you try again, obviously with nothing behind you and your foot over the brake just in case. I think the golden eel might be correct and you were in reverse without realising it.

Car does not have park assist.

"Pilot error" as they say.

Driver is responsible for knowing how to operate the vehicle.
Driver is responsible to read owner's manual to understand all functions of the vehicle.

Deciding to use a car feature without knowing how it works, or what it will do, or how it functions is in and of itself a potential risk to life and property. Driver knowingly did this without informing themselves of the process. This is on the driver. (even though the car does not have park assist)

However, vehicle does not have park assist, so pressing the button would not move the vehicle in any way.

Driver has not or did not attempt to duplicate the same scenario again by pressing the button.

With the situation as described it pretty much is almost a forgone conclusion that the car was in reverse, and the driver depressed the accelerator pedal; intentionally or accidentally.

"Pilot error". Driver is at fault.
Ford is not responsible.
Call your insurance company.

Hi ! I’m unsure if I have 23.0 or 23.1 but I did take delivery Dec ā€˜22 for my ā€˜23 Mach E.
As for the process, I had that stop hold function on, so my car was securely stationed and my foot was not on any pedals, since I know I don’t need to since it’s on the brake hold. I pressed the Park Assist button and then it maneuvered and reversed with the camera feature on my screen. I did not press any other button on screen or in my car or moved any steering whatsoever. It also didn’t make any sound of anything close by as it usually does when I park. So the replies on the post, stating that I shouldn’t even have Park Assist makes it concerning, since it didn’t even function as how described. I’m curious to see how yours reacts when you press the button in a secure area.
I have a 22 GTPE without Blue Cruise. Build month was either June or July so I know it doesn't have the feature. When I press the P button my rear camera displays and it says full view not available.

Did you have the car in reverse? Does brake hold even work when the car is in reverse? I can't imagine that brake hold is ever intended for use when in reverse because you'd have to hit the accelerator to get the car to creep if that was the case and that doesn't seem like a good idea.
