Thank you for starting another thread on this.

-edit-

So yeah, I’m pissed.

When I pay for a software subscription I expect my software to be kept up to date.
You are welcome. And by the way, how do you know your software is not 100% up to date for YOUR car? Mine is. My dealer checked for me. I have the latest version of everythiing for MY car. Not all cars need or can run the same software updates.

The only way your car being a 2021 is "100%" up to date is if the dealer updated everything for you. There are countless stories on various forums of dealers telling owners there their vehicle is up to date to get them to go away and when we check on the forum, there is a long list of modules pending updates.

Also, all model year Mach E's have the same software available for them when it comes to the modules relevant to this thread. Whether it is updated via FDRS or OTA, all Mach E's with the latest IPMA software would be on the same software. It is only updates for the APIM, TCU, GWM and IPC that are not available for all vehicles. Even then, all updates SHOULD be available for ALL vehicles if Ford was able to get their collective sh*t together.

Well as a complainer now I feel like I'm entitled. I paid good money for my car and was promised numerous times that I would get x, y, and z feature. Ford hasn't delivered

I don’t know, I think we need a trifecta, we had bc complaint thread, windshield whining, and now all we need is a new paint chip one and our fall/winter be complete.

Winter is evidently here in the northeast so I am forecasting within a month we have a paint chip thread.

Thank you for starting another thread on this.

I’m upset about extending my subscription this past December based, in part, upon Ford’s multiple promises back in Summer 2023 that an upgrade to 1.3 (and now I can also share 1.4) was coming “in the coming weeks.” I’m now almost 1 year into my renewal and my 2021 (enrolled in EAP) has been moved to the back of the line, if ever. And now Ford is teasing a 1.5.

Meanwhile, the @Ford Motor Company AI bot pops into random threads to compliment people on their car pics, and that’s about it.

So yeah, I’m pissed.

When I pay for a software subscription I expect my software to be kept up to date.
From my brain to your keyboard! That is exactly my experience, right down to extending my subscription last December based on false promises. I only drive my MME about 6000 miles a year, but about half of those miles are 300-mile drives with a lot of miles on freeways with very little traffic. But it's frustrating with the hands-free turns off at every offramp, or a painted line is obscured a bit, or the sun is shining just so, or any other number of reasons.

21’s can be on 1.3 between Forscan and FDRS. Dealer won’t get you to that stage…but and 21 who wants the latest could have it.

I believe to be version 1.1 of BC
There’s no such thing as 1.1. Never was, never will be.

If you’re having a hard time understanding why people are upset that they haven’t received any updates in 6 months, giving the appearance of 2021 job 1 cars being abandoned,

If you can’t understand why people are upset about paying good money for a version of a product they never received,

If you can’t understand why people are upset about not receiving promised updates which resolve issues such as L2 charge cords welding to your car,

If you can’t understand why people are upset that Ford’s OTAs introduce bugs like welding L2 charge cords or speedometers that show 0 while stopped,

If you can’t understand why people in the early access program, those that would be testing all these updates, can’t even find out if the program still exists,

If you can’t understand why the earliest buyers are frustrated after waiting 3 full years for a feature to be pushed that was included at the factory for every other model year and in later 2021 cars,

If you can’t understand why people are frustrated over day 1 bugs that have existed for so long they might as well be listed as features,

Then you might want to check your trolling license — it’s been revoked.

I never said I had 1.3. I said I have the latest available for my car according to my dealer.

I don’t consider it trolling I consider it telling people to stop being such whiners. I was already corrected about 1.1 when it is 1.0. Bottom line I don’t care. :)

Which may be true by your dealer. But you could have the actual latest…just saying.

Not that I’d trust a dealer saying your fully updated to mean they actually checked in FDRS necessarily anyway.
