It all depends. There are at least a few CCS which are top notch.
They actually cover a bunch, including the "big 3" (Tesla/Ford, Lectron, A2Z).

That thumbnail is actually a bit misleading though. The cheap one isn't AS bad as that might make you think - but it's definitely not high quality. And not anything I'd put my trust in.

And I think this video isn't from InsideEVs, it's actually from Auto Buyer's Guide.

Tom on State of Charge mentions the cheaper alternatives in his content related to the Tesla/Lectron/A2Zev adapters. He basically says stay away.

There is at least one of them that only has a 500V rating (and a 400A current rating, IIRC) that would be marginal for our cars.

The problem is the "average" EV owner may likely make this decision based on price. Makes the Ford decision to give them to owners seem like a safer choice than letting drivers figure it out for themselves.

Holy shit! Am I the only one that just gave up after less than 3 minutes on that video?

This is why I happily waited on my Ford adapter while some people would buy off Amazon.

Level one charging is enough to make me scared of random Amazon crud with the random company names like NULREKOM or whatever.

Random level 2 chargers? No way.

Buying a no-name fast charging adapter that will take 150kw at 400v? Absolutely not. If it’s not listed as tested + safe by Ford or Tesla I’m not going near it.

It's got all the right specs! Was just wanting to know if anyone was familiar with it. I am not recommending it.
Good general advice would be to avoid all of the random alphabet-soup-named Chinese companies on Amazon. For literally everything. I don't care if it's for a pair of socks... I'm not buying anything from HRLIDXUPRX or LRMOUXEIN.
