Relax dude, you are going to pop a gasket! Last time I checked no one was forced to watch these guys, why do you feel you have to? Besides, this video is over a year old so just chill out, geez! ?
You don’t have to read or respond to my post. You could have just moved on. But what you write is always on brand for you being low value to this forum.

The savagegeese guys are really interesting automotive reviewers but have also become very cynical about modern cars. In several videos over the last couple of years, they talk about how jaded they are now about cars in general and there's very few new cars that interest them (the Lucid Air Sapphire being one). Keep all this in mind when watching their content.
Agreed. I used to watch their videos all the time but they got more and more sensational and pessimistic a couple years ago and I lost interest.

unfortunately far more than a "couple" I've got to say of the enthusiast forums I've been on over the decades, overall the mach e community seems to be one of the most negative of all the marques I've encountered.
My wife just got an EV6. The people who post on their forums are just as negative. People usually go to these groups to complain or maybe find solutions. While I had a few issues with my 21 Mach E including a very serious motor failure, Ford got it straightened out even during COVID. I have had close to zero issues with my 24 GT, just a few software glitches that don't affect my driving or enjoyment.

I tell you what. As an early adopter, I get hit with a lot of problems on cars. My Cadillacs, all of them were first gen of the new line. They all had problems. Nothing that warranty work couldn't overcome. My 21, I'm on my 4th HVBJB, they finally got one in that works the way it is supposed to. I'm now over 100k miles. I am going to drive it for many many more miles. I can't go back to gas. The acceleration in anything less than a 100k car is a joke, paying for gas is a joke. not having a 'full tank' every morning when I get up is just unimaginable now. The guys who made the video probably drive jacked trucks overcompensating for something..

Just watched most of this youtube video, and they are VERY negative on the Mach E. I am a very new owner of a 2024 Premium Mach E, and I REALLY like it. I wonder if I had watched this video if I would have bought one. What do other Mach E owners think about the views in this video. Do they have it all wrong?

I think the Gulf sweatshirt says it all.

I’m going to make a video that says EVs suck and ford is the worst automaker on the planet. I’ll be RICH! Rich beyond my wildest dreams (let’s ignore the fact that I know next to nothing about cars ?)

What's weird is 90% plus if negative reviews are from non-owners. The more you talk to actual owners the more positive things you hear.
I keep hearing how EV sales are dying yet I keep seeing more on the road each year. The infrastructure isn't there, yet after 46k miles, I've never ran out of power on my road trips nor are cities having black outs, etc, etc.....
Is the Mach-E perfect, no of course not, no car is. Is electric right for every American, again no, but diesel isn't either. The weird fear that reviewers like this have about an alternative "fueled" car is, frankly, bizarre.

The video is over a year old, but here's Gemini's summary of the video:

The Mustang Mach E is a 2020 electric car that has had a few issues, including a recall for a faulty control board in the battery pack. Ford has tried to fix the problem with a software update, but that has not worked for all cars. As a result, Ford is now doing a full recall of 30,000 cars to have the control unit replaced. The Mach E is not a bad car, but it is not a great car either. It is an average car that is overpriced. There are no compelling reasons to buy a Mach E over an internal combustion engine counterpart. The Mach E is a first-generation electric car and it has some teething problems. Buyer confidence has been sapped in the car because of all the recalls. The Mach E is an electric car for the sake of being an electric car. It was not made to break new ground. Ford is stuck in the one car game and the trucks are keeping them afloat. The Mustang Mach E is a noble first try, but it is not enough. Ford needs to rethink its entire structure and industry.

I have a feeling that some of its takes are outdated... There have been significant price drops for the 2023 and 2024 models. The Mach-E is the 4th best selling EV in Q3 '24, and if you're looking strictly at non-Tesla's, it's the best selling non-Tesla EV. https://www.carscoops.com/2024/10/t...d-mustang-mach-e-is-americas-3rd-favorite-ev/
The 2021 Mach e GTPE is the perfect car for me. I am in my 70s and drive mostly locally about 35 miles per day. The low need for maintenance, no service station visits, easy upkeep fits my lifestyle. I had my Vets and BMW’s when I was working and now I can go just as fast with all the EV advantages. Fords primary target should be retired people. I bought a 2023 Maverick for trips over 100 miles one way and it almost never gets driven unless I am on my way to Florida. I have had almost no problems other than the contactor and that was fixed in two days. I had my three year maintenance last week including a new 12 volt battery and replacing brake fluid $417 and all paid with points.

These guys have it all wrong. You can’t judge an EV with a ICE. Two completely different platforms . I am as old as a dinosaur and have built a lot of ICE cars. Hot Rods. I amazed at what my Mache GT can do. And I can compare this with a Tesla S I had. My opinion is Tesla has a quality issue with there cars. I know the Model 3 , year 2024 has improved a lot. There technology is better but not a game changer for me. I feel most of this negativity about EV’s comes from a political viewpoint, the lack of noise the car makes, Americans love hearing an ICE motor. EV car drags are not that much fun! And then the good old oil companies. My Mache e is a 2022 and would buy the same car if something happened to it. The rest of the world is moving with technology. It’s sad to say many Americans let there fear drive there opinions. If Americans don’t change you will definitely see the American car makers go out of business.. But I am sure the Chinese will have a fantastic EV for you to buy. It will be like the 1980’s all over again. Japanese car manufacturers. So we can say good buy to Ford, GM. And Chrysler. Just my thoughts, Old Dinosaur ?

I was irritated by the exaggerated movement of the driver when he pressed the pedal. He seemed to be indicating that there was something wrong with the smoothness. I get pushed back when i really step on it so why would he do this? This videos is just a hit piece by ICE-heads that see their old world disappearing. I love my 2022 premium and love not having to "gas up" although i do wish the infrastructure for charging was was better and i believe it is growing fast. I hope the charge rate gets increased and the range improves. All of that is battery technology, i believe. The other area of Ford that i have a problem with is their seeming inability to do software right. In this day and age, some of the things that happen are just unbelievable. They really need to get their software act together. Love my Mach-E.

Yep. American manufacturers have been fighting with one hand tied behind their back and it looks like the Oil companies are going to ensure that they can't use the other one.

Just like with every revolution in technology there are huge bumps and the old players go by the wayside. Remember Ericsson, Nokia, and Blackberry?

Like it or not the handwriting is on the wall and we either adapt or die - and we're not particularly good at adapting anymore.

I didn't watch and I am not interested in their opinion. Negativity gets hits and sells soap...or pillows. The number 1 "news" network in the U.S. is a hellscape of negativity.

If the video is bad as the OP says, then I am sure there will be plenty of followers.

The title made me laugh...the fine art of faking it. Who? The video author or Ford?

As I stated in my YouTube reply, the "Savage Geese" should stick to what they are good at: pooping on golf courses. I'm loving my Mach-e
