Ok, I figured out why Tire Rack is not filtering out non-conforming (SL) tires. The OP has a 2024 Mach-E AWD and wants to install an 18” setup (and I would be tempted to do the same). He starts with selecting his vehicle as a Premium AWD. If he sticks with “Factory Tire Size” selection (I.e., 19s), TR will absolutely filter out all standard load tires. But he selects “Optional Tire Sizes”, which presents the full, unfiltered selection.

I think this is an oversight by TR that needs to be corrected.

I am surprised The Tire Rack would sell you tires that do not meet the minimum load rating for the Mach-E unless they did not know what car you were buying them for. Not only are the tires not up to the minimum load rating of the Mach-E, they are standard load range tires which should not be used on an EV. All EV's use EXTRA load range rated tires. The car weighs close to 5000 lbs (not 4500) and your total of 7056 for SL 100 load range tires might seem to be more than enough, but not if you were driving down the road at a decent speed and had to stand on the brakes. Now, those front tires are going to have way more of a load put on them than they would normally have. I'am not saying they won't work, but to play is safe, you should be running XL Load range 103 or higher tires. Also IF you happen to get in an accident and the tire (blow out) was the cause and the insurance company found out you did not have the proper load rated tires, there will be issues and I have seen that more than once. I'm not an expert on tires but maybe Brian (tuminatr) who is one, will chime in on this.
This is an issue on 18" wheels as many of them are designed to work with cars like the Focus or Fusion. I would mirror the tire load ratings of 1819lbs as a minimum requirement.

That said, the Vredestein Wintrac Pro's in that same size (225/60/18) are Extra load range 104 and are slightly less expensive than the Blizzaks DM-V2'd that were ordered. That would definitely be the better tire to get.

That's very true, The Wintrac Pros work great and yes it's very important to get the correct load rating and the proper speed rating or better. The factory rating for an 18" select is a 104H

Simply put DO NOT buy or install a tire with a load rating of less than 103 it can cause serious issues.

I cancelled my original order with the Blizzaks and re-ordered with the Wintrac's. Never heard of the brand before so we'll see how they perform. It seems as if people like the tires so I'm hopeful.

Good call, Vredestein is one of the first companies in the world to make winter tires.

They are really good tires. Brian (tuminatr) runs that brand of tire summer and winter and swears by them.

So today was the first day I took the car more than a few miles and 10 miles through my drive I got a TPMS fault. It appears that the car is not recognizing any of the TPMS. I'm seeing conflicting information stating that I need to perform some calibration on them and some others are saying it's all automatic. Do I have faulty monitors or do I need to teach them to the car somehow?

According to Tire Rack they gave me 433mhz sensors and the car is not finding them when I let air out of the tires. I went all the way to 10psi before the car timed out.
Ahh then that's your problem, the car uses 314/315 mhz sensor.

Some sensors are 314.9/315 and 433 all in one. If so they could just need to be programmed

What a headache, it seems Tire Rack has nothing correct for this car.

I did try the programming method in the link and the car did not react. I will send off an email to Tire Rack. Thank you for the help.
