Still no way to easily pull the battery out, lol
Plus it needs a lock on the door handle, lol
I'll print up a set of these for you (most any color) for $20, shipping included.

I drilled holes….but only because I do my own updates with FDRS so I’m plugging the battery in more than normal.

But for the couple times you might jump the vehicles over ownership…..people have really oversold how “hard” taking the beauty panels off is.
I agree, but my only caveat to that is the one time I had it die, it -35°C. The panels did not like coming off.

I would love to do this but I feel like the act of monitoring this will influence the very outcome I am trying to avoid ?
So just today my mme was stone dead when I tried to get in it this morning. 23 premium with 4000 miles. Im thinking when I parked it last night maybe I didn’t shut the car off by pressing the button. Im use to Tesla where you just stop and walk away. But wouldn’t the car shut down from inactivity? Also I went to Fordpass and there was an alert that the 12v battery was critically low please drive car to charge. Unfortunately the car was dead by the time I saw it. If the app knew there was an issue why didn’t it send me an alert that actually alerted me. I don’t make a habit of looking in the Fordpass app for no reason. Now Im just hoping it was just a stupid mistake and it will be fine. I’ll find out in the morning I guess

There is an auto shutdown timer that is by default enabled and set at 30 minutes. Have a look in the settings.

There is an auto off, of you have it enabled in the settings....

Sounds like you turned off Fordpass notifications... You won't get the alert, but it tried to tell you

Along with the 30 minute timer, the 12v would also be charging if the vehicle was turned on.
So basically the car went dead by some other issue, not good for me

Just checked my settings and everything is turned on, my question is, does it send a notification other than the app which is useless to me

I have found my 22 select 12v battery charge runs down rather quickly. Back on 12/31/24 I changed it all the way up, starting with leaving the car power all on, power off timer turned off, for an hour. Then hooked up an external deltran battery tender to continue. It took good total three hours to get the green light of the battery tender to light up, meaning the battery is 100% charged.

Last night I hooked the battery tender again just to see how much juice left in the battery, BTW, I don't have any way to see the SOC. To my surprise it took at least three hours to charge to 100%.

The total time of the car running and getting charged is less than three hours in a typical day from 12/31 to yesterday. I haven't added any accessory except a dash cam but it only turns on when car is on.

I don't know how fast the HVB charges the 12v battery, according to Mach-Lee, charging only happens as the car in all power on or NVB being charged. It looks like my battery tender needs at least three hours every 5 days to replenish the 12v.

So from now on I'll charge it over night once a week with battery tender.

The HVB will charge the LVB when the car is off and unplugged if the level drops to around 40%. Running it down below 50% on a regular basis is one reason it wears out in three years.

My car has been sitting for a 3 days and the LVB is at 49%.

Correct. It should recharge itself within 24 hours.

I just replaced the 12V battery. It took 44 minutes including getting all the tools out, dropping a few of them (why does this always happen?), putting the tools away and performing the BMS reset procedure. I didn't lose any new clips! I think.

I followed the process that does not require removing the tub. It was very easy and it would have taken me longer to drop off and pick up my car if I had paid the dealer to do it. And it only cost me $27 because I used points to buy the battery.

Now I am good to go for another 3 years!

And better yet... you know the dealership didn't do something crazy and cause other problems.

That's actually worth spending more time and money to ensure.
