Adding on to this, the software in the car calls the lane-assist cruise control blue cruise (for some dumb reason) but it actually isn't. Check to make sure you have an actual active blue cruise subscription. Otherwise, it will never activate.

Got the update notification today on my 2021 Job 1 immediately after picking up my car from the hvbjb and parking harness recall. Functionally working great. But... They've shipped the 1 MPH when Parked bug with it. ?‍How old is that bug now? It's new to me sadly.

To be fair tho, it did solve some other bugs, like the car not recognizing me approaching for the last two-ish years.

Update: on my next drive BC did end up working. Can’t compare 1.0 v 1.3, but can say it was a smooth and confident ride home!

At some point Ford renamed everything BlueCruise.

• CoPilot 360 (hands on) is now BlueCruise.
• BlueCruise is now BlueCruise Hands Free.
• Cup holders are now BlueCruise Drink Receptacles
• The horn is now the BlueCruise Fun Sounder
• Etc.

I recall a press release in Oct 2024 from Darren Palmer than renamed this "BlueCruise+ Loud McThingy". I've got a link to the release somewhere...

My Ford Pass App says I received BC 1.3 last night. 2021 Job 1. Have not been out to the car yet.

No emails at all on this. On another topic, also got the "Phone as a key has been removed" note. Not sure if it was the update or the fact that I had the dealer check the 12V battery status yesterday, before the update. Oh boy..

2021 Premium AWD Job 1. 1.1 just updated to 1.3 last night in driveway OTA cellular signal, not wifi. Excited to try as BC is my best friend commuting to work in traffic.

Got my BC 1.3 update last night. Successful on the first attempt. '21 Job 1, non-EAP, out of original warranty.

I'm hoping this leads to getting more of the regular updates. I got one or two updates in all of 2024. Last week, I sat down to send an angry email to Ford, but couldn't find a good address. And I started shopping for my next, non-Ford EV. The BC 1.3 update puts them back in my good graces, but I still want to see more updates come through for us early adopters.

BC 1.3 finally came last night and as happen stance (damn, happen stance, am I turning into my Dad?) I had to make a 15 mile trip on the interstate this morning.......In a word "Awesome"!!! It seemed very confident and did not disengage the entire trip. The auto lane change worked perfectly everytime. The "scooch-over" from big trucks is BRILLIANT!!

Even the hands on self drive on the smaller streets worked really well. Hard for me to direct compare as I usually don't let it self drive on non-highways; so it had been a minute. But, that being said it was very good this morning and frankly I'm happy to have it!!!

I agree with everyone, this took too long. That being said, Ford send me an OTA that adds value to my car and my driving life all while my 2021 Job 1 car is out of warranty......Ford, has provided me with free rentals with recall, FREE NACS Adapter, and if memory serves, didn't they send me a $50 gift card for my troubles?!?!

I know they do this as marketing and brand loyalty. I think it works. Next time my # is called for a new ride, I will definetely have Ford in the pole position!!!
