On December 23rd, I got the dread Stop Safely Now warning on my 2022 AWD/Premium/Extended 10/22 date of manufacture Mach e. Car bricked in middle of busy street (windows and other accessories continued to work) and I had to be towed to local dealer. VERY DANGEROUS. as I was stuck in middle of busy road and car car was stuck in Park. After waiting over two weeks for the only available EV Tech and EV Bay, the dealer informed me yesterday that two of the high voltage battery "cells" (I assume they mean modules) have failed and need to be replaced which will require the entire high voltage battery to be dropped down from the bottom of the car to get access to the top "cells" for replacement. Replacement parts are available but need to be delivered by a "special courier" which will take 5-10 days. Install will take 2-3 weeks. I have had no other issues with the car and have never charged it at a high voltage charging station. Car has about 9,000 miles on it. Not only is this extremely frustrating to have to wait weeks for a simple diagnosis but an additional 3 weeks to be fixed, assuming all goes well. Most importantly, it bricked on a busy road __EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.

Just as dangerous as when an ICE auto breaks and gets stuck in traffic. I hope they fix your car quickly. See if they can extend your battery warranty an extra 10k because it's no longer stock.

The difference is that with in ICE car, you can put it in neutral and get pushed to the side of the road., out of harms way. In my case, not only did car die in middle of road, but it locked itself in Park so it could not be moved until tow truck arrived.

You have to use emergency tow mode to get it into neutral for pushing. See owner's manual. Although I would caution against pushing a 5000 lb car unless it was very flat and you have at least 2-3 guys to push.

Those type of battery failures in motion are extremely rare FYI.

THIS IS CLEARLY UNIQUE TO BATTERY ELECTRIC VEHICLES. THEY SHOULD BE BANNED.

No ICE vehicle ever stalled in the middle of a busy road. ;)

This repair should take 2-3 days at the most, not 2-3 weeks.

No no, that ICE vehicle I passed a couple weeks ago broke down at a turn lane causing it to take me 40 minutes longer to get home was real.

ALL VEHICLES SHOULD BE BANNED!

Sometimes we just need a space to rant. The OP hasn't even had an opportunity to cool down. ???
And we’re definitely not helping them cool down.

Many here need an empathy supplement (empathogens, look it up).

The OP is not only upset about getting stranded in the middle of the road, but also about the time it took the their dealer to even look at the vehicle, order parts, get parts, and do the repair. Add them all up and you’re talking several weeks. That’s unacceptable.

And the fact that this also happens in ice doesn’t make it okay.

And many here need their CAPLOCK DISABLED!

Come in here shouting like a lunatic or a egotistical man-child, expect you might be treated like one.

It’s a style thing. We don’t know one another. We can be forgiving. I didn’t even see or care about it.

Although I loved my Mustang, I did sell it to Carvana and went back to ICE simply because down where I live it’s not very popular apparently as most other regions of the United States. And there was one person at a dealership that I didn’t even buy the car from that can only work on the car and I don’t care if they give me a rental for free. I don’t like being out of a car for two or three weeks. And just to make a blanket statement, anybody can work on an ICE, Even a hybrid it’s in the shop forever because they still consider it electric almost and not all the technicians around here are trained either I feel more confident with an IC sorry.
