Hi Mike (or anyone else that may help out with FDRS) - just had my new to me ride in for a service and asked the techs to report on any available/required updates, they didn't do that for me so was hoping someone could take a look when you have a chance to see what you can see?

Here's your list this afternoon:

Not sure what's meant by the "main modules"......they did gateway and one APIM update and a BCM (body controller) update.

You will not be able to get OTAs just over Wi-Fi...it takes the car's TCU to initiate the process. So if they aren't willing to try and "re-Provision" your TCU then you're stuck with a tech doing all these update or getting the gear and a license and doing them yourself. Sounds like that may be the cheaper option.
I initially thought they installed all of them, but it turns out they only installed the first APIM (revision 498, released in Feb 2022).

Seems like the only way is to do it myself, I'll buy the gear.
Thanks!

@BayAviator

Here's the very short list of available updates for your car:
Ford Mustang Mach-E Post here if you have an active FDRS account and are willing to look up info for others 3FMTK3R73MMA61821-14-Jan-25

You are literally only one rev behind on the APIM (Sync). The latest Sync update available for all Mach-Es is PU5T-14G682-NG / 4.0.24127_PRODUCT...Which I believe is Sync 1270.

During Christmas week when you had that gateway replaced (due to not getting OTAs) the tech updated everything you had available in your list at the time.

That's a clean bill of health.

Mike, could you check that for me, please? I spent 12 months without updates due to a known bug on Ford's side. They finally fixed it and I got an avalanche of updates up to 6.14. Then 40 days later, BC1.3. That was 40 days ago (12/4). No 10.x for me. I wonder what else is pending.
Quick question: if something is updated through FDRS, can that somehow get PTA updates out of whack?

All of them. No available updates left.
Thanks, can you tell if that included 10.1.1 update?

Can I see the screen showing work done? Thx!

This car has the SYNC4 v4.0.21008. It says that was received as an OTA (back when Mach-Es had dirt floors).

You still have an open field service action to get the HVJB replaced..... That would knock out all of those powertrain updates in this list (PCM, ABS, BECM, SOBDMC), but you still have that completely ridiculous list of available updates in the Additional Updates section that would take over a day to bring up to date. I suspect your car has not been able to get updates for a very, very long time....and now that it's out of warranty this is gonna get spendy.

Your BC 1.3 update was on the 4th of Dec. No pending OTAs in the queue.

Your OTA dashboard says to "See Vehicle HMI" to determine if you have auto updates turned on and whether a schedule is set......so obviously the system thinks your ability to get OTAs is "uncertain" at this stage. I don't know if that's a contributing factor for why you have this list of available updates (includes GWM, APIM, and TCU updates which are all known OTA suspects):

Doing updates with FDRS does not get OTAs out of whack at all. FDRS reports what updates have been done and the server then just doesn't offer your car something that it already has. This would obviously cause the owner/observer to conclude that they may be missing something when they don't see some OTA come in that other people are reporting....but if you got the same software updated by a tech using FDRS it's....the same software as whatever the corresponding OTA was going to provide.

Thank you so much! So weird... I will "re"-toggle today to see if it makes any difference. I have an appointment in 6 days to replace the headlight knob TSB. Hopefully the tech takes pity in me and update it all.

Thanks so much Mike!! The power meter on my non GT now shows full jail bars. I thought that was resolved in the latest PCM updates?

Do they even do OTAs in Australia?

The available updates are below:

Note the Additional Updates box....what that's saying is that if the GWM (gateway, car's network controller module) is updated and then the IPC (Instrument cluster) is updated, that a new APIM (Sync) update would become available, and then a TCU (telematics modem) and then another gateway update after that. If they don't do OTAs in Australia, or you're not getting them, you can get behind pretty fast.

That CMR, IPMA, and PSCM are all cruise control related, just so you know.

And if you've ever had issues with pressing the liftgate button and it only goes up a little bit and then stops....that's what that RGTM update is intended to correct.

I'm not sure on that one....not tracking that cause/effect.

Looking for any information about my Ford ESP and what it shows in the system. Also any pending updates or anything to be aware of. Thanks.
